Springs are under constant stress & are a very common failure - seriously, you would not believe how many we change on Mercedes at work week in week out!!! Even on relatively new, low mileage cars!!

Went there a couple of years back - stayed at Concorde Sharm el Sheik The hotels out there are superb & the diving is amazing!! :)

Hi Daz - good to here from someone that has been! Looks & sounds lovely!! We are in one of the jaccuzi beach villas & have requested on the Sangu side as have read that is better!! Where was yours? Will take note on the ice LOL! Dont want to be shitting myself on the beach!! LOL! :scared: Going in by sea plane! supposed to be quite an experience in itself!! Love snorkelling! Went to Sharm el Sheik a couple of years back & that was stunning too for snorkelling! :thumbup: Any other tips would be great!! :smartass:

Hi mate, This is the 140bhp version but is still quite nippy! Lacks a bit of grunt at motorway speeds but the 6 speed box helps if you stir it up a bit LOL!! :biggrin: She's ok, a bit bruised & sore but no lasting damage!

I now also have a Golf GT TDi 2.0, its a 54 plate but more importantly its a 2005 model on a 54 plate. Very important that bit ;) :p

Its really quite nice - a few scuffs that need some attention & the wheels could do with a refurb but all in all a very nice car! Valeters giving it a once over for me at the mo then just need to service it & stick a cambelt kit on! :)

Well, Thanks to Richard (Trick82) I now have a new engine to drop in! Collected last night & looks like a lot of work has gone into it. HKS 2530 turbo's, 600cc injectors, lightweight pulleys & flywheel, uprated engine mounts. :hyper: Also bought his Jade R alloys: All brand new with new tyres! May send them off for a refurb ( :blushing: ) as I think I prefer them in silver!

My missus was in a nasty crash a week ago & her Audi A4 was a complete write off (somone drove straight into the rear & shunted her into the car in front) :censored: Have just bought a nice Golf that come in as a cheap trade in! :clap: Its a 2.0 GT TDI - drives really well! Has very high miles (hence the cheaper price) but all motorway miles with good service history! Thought I would share!

Nope! Have a Brabus E V12 instead LOL!! :thumbup:
