  1. Thanks John! :thumbup1:
  2. We should have a 300ZX party - free fuel for all zed owners & VAT & duty free on all mods purchased!! Tax all the tree hugging hippies that clog our roads up by driving underpowered cars too slowly adding to CO2 emissions!! :D
  3. Great - once you rip the tacky carbon fibre stick on trim off of them!! Why does everything have to have a bit of carbon fibre stuck on it FFS?! :shaun::shaun::shaun:
  4. LOL! very good idea!! Increase downforce on the side that needs it & reduce drag in the side that doesnt - simples! :D
  5. LOL!!! - you can get an auto to manual conversion from many good timber merchants however!!!
  6. It switches between the 2 banks - left O2 sensor test then change to right O2 sensor test to see each sensor in turn switching
  7. good job I won a flux capacitor on ebay for my zed then!!!
  8. Agreed! Stick it in mode 2 diagnostic mode with the sensors installed & check the O2 sensors are switching. I have never tried testing by heating them up to be honest but not sure what this would test - yes, the sensor has to be up to operating temperature to work but switches depending on the oxygen content (how rich or lean the mixture is) not how hot the probe is?! If it switches just because the temperature is in the operating range & when it cools down, how do you know if it is switching based on mixture??
  9. I actually thought I had gone back in time & this was an original post!!!:lol::lol:
  10. Tony Lacks was one of the nicest interiors I have seen on a Zed - I dont usually like light interior colours but the pictures really dont do the seats justice - it really was a great job!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=87575
  11. diameter at the outlet of the elbow is just under 2 1/2" - 62mm HTH :)
  12. LOL! Take a look at my rebuild project thread for more info!! :helpsmilie:
  13. No problemo. Will have a measure up tonight if I remember! Got a memory like a sieve so remind me if I dont post anything up later!!
  14. HKS 2530's - same as on the engine I just bought :)
  15. ^^^^^^^^^^^ oops! Sorry, buy them from him!:thumbup1:
  16. you can buy a skin to smooth the rear of the tailgate with: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_27&products_id=85
  17. 1500 more than I done!! :D Hopefully for the summer if all goes well
  18. yes - updates the look of the zed without making it look OTT like some aftermarket bumpers do. & wont smash to pieces as soon as you touch a speedbump to boot!! :thumbup1:
  19. Agreed - the car looks mint but the grille looks like shite!! Each to their own & all but has ruined it IMO! :hang:
  20. LOL! what timing gear did you use for this as the tests I have seen had a recorded difference in favour of using recircs! Or did it just "feel" quicker. A bit like the lad at my work who fitted a max power air filter to his fiesta?! :whistling:
  21. LOL at this thread!! A dyno will prove nothing at all as the BOV or recirc valve will not come into play until after you lift off the throttle!! Why do you think they fit them then?! I have an article somewhere where they tested a car with BOV's, Recircs & no BOV - the recirc fitted car came out on top. Now this is only by a small margin but that is the same with most mods - an induction kit will make a small improvement, so will a lightweight flywheel, as too with an underdrive pulley etc. Add them all up & so the differences add up. Facts are a BOV will reduce compressor stall allowing the turbo to build pressure quicker when you hit the throttle again on a gearchange. As small as it may be it will still improve performance!
  22. Am good mate - glad to hear you still have the zed! Mines going through a bit of a rebuild at the moment!
