Anti-lag system?
Think about it - if you are keeping the turbos spinning, you must be getting energy from somewhere. That energy has to come from the engine somehow: electrical, belt, viscous whatsit. So if you are keeping the turbos spinning unnecessarily, you are taking hp from somewhere else all the time just on the off chance you might want to reduce the lag sometime.

may be a stupid question
Fairlady is the name they used in Japan. And it's been on Nissan sports cars since 1960 http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/3823/fairlady.html http://www.datsun.org/fairlady/intro.htm

Shopping Lists
aaaah see your point. Would it help to say that we already had a case ("had" being the operative word) of Schhhhhhhhhweppppes tonic? The orange went with the croissants, pepsi max keeps the caffeine going when you just can't drink any more coffee and the tonic needs a.... damn, I'm sure I had some Gordon's round here somewhere. :D :duffer:

Well, the hedge trimmer came out yesterday for an attach of horticultural genocide, the pond got cleaned, three buckets of wet weed on the bonfire (happy little fishy friends, now), filters rinsed, fountain working, trip to the tip done. My consort is off to a school reunion (and left with the kind words "have one for me down the pub dear" :duffer: what an angel). That's me down to the corner shop for the following: 1 ltr orange juice 6 cans Pepsi max 1 lemon 1 PP9 battery aaaaand 1 ltr Gordon's Gin. Should round the afternoon off nicely, that! Can't think of a better shopping list on a sunny day like now - Red UK TT in the air in Datchet M30 0xx
Aha! seen you again, mate - so you've upgraded from the 200SX then? Wise choice. I think that means there's at least 3 Zeds in the village.- Do men need directions?????
BT were going to call their dish farm down in Docklands the "Central London International Teleport" until someone realised that none of their engineers would be able to find it - Targa interior vinal trim
well at least it's not just mine, then - must be the weather!- Strange warning light
Yes but only J-spec have the warning light. NFI why. The implication is that the cars which don't have the sensors / warning light are doing exactly the same thing but Nissan didn't think it important enough that non-J cars needed a warning. Mr Adminerator has convinced me that the reason the cats get hot is that unburnt fuel is leaving the engine and getting catalysed in the cats. Because it's not all getting burnt in the cylinders. So one (or more) of the spark plugs aren't firing = maybe coilpack connectors or something like that?- Where have you all gone
no mate - Midsomer Murders is on :D- Z31 ?
Oliver Reed, Ian Botham and Frank Bruno (who owned 2 Z32s as well) :D There were 2 versions - the later one being called "face lift" and not looking too bad either. The early one was a bit 70's ish for my personal tastes. And the original engine was a 3ltr straight six. Lots more info here http://www.zclub.net or why not come to the next Royal Oak meet and you'll probably see one!- Failed my DA bike test, (but saw Paul C's old Zed I think)
Don't worry mate, just book it up and do it again. Concentrate and deep breaths.... Just be careful and when (not if) you pass, don't go back to work on the company bike which they lent you and fall over in the car park. In full Belstaff oversuit. On a 125. Which (being 6' 3" and bulgy) makes you look enough of a silvery michelin man pr4t anyway. In full view of two floors of fellow company workers. When you work for Kawasaki....... .....aaaaaaaaaaargh- For the kind attention of Mr Baggins
10 bits of Mr Nissan's rubbery things arrived today - and look, they've all got a hole all the way through them :) how handy :D Thank you very much indeed - and the old girl says thankyew too - Standard Plugs -11C or -11B?
OK Topless well if you, NGK and half the guru agree, you must be right :D :D- PIAA "Superwhite H3C bulbs vs 85w H3C
Yes - I found they were much better than the 85w. You can get the PIAA as H3C - which is what I did - at £23 + VAT last November. PIAA themselves recommend the Superwhite as the best H3C they do for all round better visibility. So you don't even have to do the conversion! (The conversion would, however, give you access to a wider range of bulbs from more sources.) The only other thing (which I was too bone idle to do) is to get one of those long bottle-washer thingies and clean the inside of the lens with it. Maybe next year, eh? :D - Shopping Lists
