  4. I just had this done and 1) I wish I'd got Baggins to do it 2) The world renowned Lymon agrees with Baggins. Even though the idea for relocating came from another Z guru (Henri LeHir) so it should work, it is still a get-round rather than an upgrade. 3) If your knock sensor is gone, odds are there's loads of little bits which can usefully be done at the same time. Hoses, PCV valves, fuelpipes, injector o-rings, coil-pack connectors (or even engine harness), timing belt, water pump etc etc. It's a big job so give yourself time to plan it and get the parts in advance. But when it's done (as long as you don't get a cowboy to do it) the top bit of your engne should be OK for ages (fingers crossed). Think of it as a whole shedload of preventative maintenance.
  5. ooh yes forgot about them. Guildford Civic in errrm 197-something. Bon Scott still alive, Angus Young still a loony :D
  6. top bloke martin, I shall try that. Ta
  7. Bloody youngsters  apache, how can you go to so many gigs and still only see three (maybe four) rock acts? :D Don't ask me for the years but Status Quo / Budgie / Steve Gibbons Band / Steve Marriott Allstars / Thin Lizzy / Doctors of Madness (and others) all on the same bill at Olympia Emerson Lake and Palmer (Welcome Back My Friends Tour, Empire Pool) Manfred Mann's Earth Band (Give Me The Good Earth Tour, Roundhouse) Yes (Hammersmith Odeon) Deep Purple (Empire Pool) Larry Miller Band (Guildford and Reading) Motorhead (Bracknell Sports Centre) Hawkwind (Guildford) Genesis (late period so more pop than rock) (Wembley Arena) (crap gig and some b*stard stole my tankard) ahhhhh happy days Oh and The Stranglers (first time round - posing tossers) Wishbone Ash (long live the Turners and the Flying V) Climax Chicago Blues Band John Mayall The Darts! (Rock'n'Roll rather than Rock but clearly a band amongst bands) John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett Probably enough nostalgia for now hehehe you just can't beat a good ol' 12 incher. :duffer:
  8. Because the hoster said that they had already installed Jmail and ASPemail on their servers so all I had to do was wibble-gibberish-blah. And when you go and have a look at Macromedia's help / support it says this is easy and then repeats the wibble-gibberish-blah in a patronising American accent. grrrrr  Dreamweaver is supposed to be able to do this sort of thing and I am trying to keep things as simple as poss - i.e. just using built-in stuff rather than kludging together a script from here, a bit of html from there etc etc But I shall toddle off and have a look.... ta
  9. Hallo boys and girls - I am having problems with setting up a form on Dreamweaver. My hosting company has descended into tech gibberish and a couple of hours googling has given me double-vision and a headache. If there is anyone out there who knows how to setup a form in Dreamweaver to email details and also how to setup my test website so I can test this before I upload it, please pm or email. The Great Zed Buddha will surely bless you :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  10. Probably not explaining myself very well (thanks to the White Horse at Longford - a damn fine pub). The HICAS fluid reservoir is (I think) on the driver's side of the engine compartment And I think there is a leak from one of the pipes or junctions in this area down onto something hot - or something that gets hot. BTW is this the same fluid reservoir for the power steering (I know I should look it up but please see the above Whire Horse excuse :D )
  11. David, mine suffers from a HICAS fluid leak. And when it gets really hot - like serious traffic jams - it starts to smoke. My theory is that it takes a long time for it to get hot enough to make it leak: upon which it leaks onto something really hot like the exhaust / turbo and we get smoke wafting out from the right hand side bonnet / wheelarch / under the car.
  12. How to get Lambo lights on a 300ZX Z32. 1) Walk to front of car. 2) Close your eyes 3) Turn round to look at front of car 4) Open eyes 5) As if by magic, Lambo lights will appear :hyper: And for my next trick, Lambo doors on a Zed for £0.00p 1) Look at picture of Lamborghini Gallardo 2) Look at your Zed 3) Hooray, Lambo doors on a Zed

Hooray - that's good news. And with scoops' furball, that's 2 out of 2 :D
  14. Actually you're right - sorry for posting wrong one. There is an other fusebox under the bonnet (driver side) and also a relay box (passenger side). But I don't know exactly where the answer is: except I know it's in the manual somewhere. (failing memory = old age or living through the 70's)

    Paws crossed, scoops
  16. Poor old Jock  that's two problems he's got. Tone deaf AND living in Croydon :p
  17. http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/fuses.htm http://www.300zx.org.uk/tech_17.htm nothing wrong with girlies - in fact my mother was one, as it happens!
  18. some setups had 5. Do a google for Bose and 300ZX.
  19. Andy - just posted on ZClub fyi. Seems like a spiffo idea but GOK how to get the right number of brownie points....
  20. AFAIK these were JDM factory extra only. I've got a set but they were bought from some kind bloke on this forum who was fitting a body kit to his JDM Z so they were surplus to requirements.
  21. Back in Oct 02, I bought a clutch master cylinder from http://www.mjpauto.com It failed in August 03 so I bought a new one and sent the old one back for investigation. After much toy-waving, Mike managed to get me a full-refund which arrived in my post last week. Not bad for a 2-year old part! One more good reason for buying from a forum trader
  22. Dave, you need to talk to Steve Burns over at http://www.zclub.net - he has (literally) hundreds of Z models across the range. Also Mike Feeney (Mr F in the Traders' forum) also has a lot of knowledge / models etc Cheers - Gio
  23. hahahaha
