  1. Im about to put a manual box back in its on ramp on drive can i do it without tilting engine back ,Is it best to put box on trolley jack and lift up into position thanks.
  2. Ive got the downpipes off but the bolt has snapped in the turbo elbow didnt want to remove that incase i snapped more bolts.
  3. Took gearbox of today and snapped 2 of the 6 downpipe nuts off there is still about 5mm sticking out treid plus gas /wd40 .Then mole grips but it just chews the stud thread up .What are they like to drill out thanks taff.
  4. Dont they have a 225 tyre as standard on the back anyway with 280 bhp.

  7. dodgey tps plug clean and refit that cured my high idle after id changed everything related .

  10. No ive got a yellow pearl manual tt slicktop had it 6 years had 200sx s before.
  11. Is it just the trackrod end you need changing or the tie rod as well .The rod end is easy break the lock nut on on the tie rod arm .Then undo nut on the track rod end ball joint this may have a plit pin in some have nyloc nuts. Then get a ball joint breaker scissor type is best if not use a fork type, fork type will damange the balljoint boot but this wont matter if your changing the joint.Also you only need to crack the joint on the tie rod arm its a good idea to mark the position of the nut with tippex or paint to make sure you get it back in the right place .The rod end should just unscrew from the tie rod .You may need your tracking adjusted after.
  12. Im putting a blue print standard clutch in mine ,car is standard boost ill let you know what its like there £180 from most motorfactors .
  13. Rears 12.85 some list 12.9 front are 14.1 some list 14.3 .
  14. Clutch and fly wheel are diffrent to sr and rb engine clutch disc is 250mm on z32 others are 240mm.Have you thought about a 1jz with r154 box they can be got for about a £1000 for both .It will take a bit of fabrication to fit it but its a good strong engine many drift guys use this set up even in nissan drift cars.

  17. Jap mainly rust free a bit on rear arches where they were rolled in eh7 some flaking laquer.
  18. How much is slicktop shell worth thinking about breaking mine for spares.

  20. Will a brand new standard clutch be ok with 1 bar boost exhaust filter mods etc .Can anyone recomend a good cheap pattern one thanks.:cool3:
  21. I thought the reason they changed from alloy was the the caliper mounts to the hub flexed slightly under hard pedal pressure.The alloy ones were finned to aid cooling too.
  22. I had mare with my high idle for ages tried everything .In the end tracked it down to tps plug connection .try wiggleing the tps plug and see if the idle drops.

  24. About to put a second hand manual box in and new clutch got a few questions. Can you take box out with gearstick in place . Is there diffrent sendors on a uk box looks like a wire and plugs for external oil cooler [its a uk box going in]pipes are linked already. Can anyone recomend anything to clean the box with tried gunk bellhousing is hard to clean was going to try wonder wheels. Do standard pivot balls fail much on these cars i know theve been known to snap of on 200sxs.Is it worth getting one. thanks taff.:rockon:
