  1. Just wondering if anyone has this on xbox 360 and what you think of it? Looking at using it mostly on xbox live if the multiplayer is any good, i use Call of duty2 on live often and its really good, but only allows 8 players max so looking for something to tide me over until halo 3.
  2. Thanks mate, sounds like a weekend job for me though!
  3. Only drive the zed, use it every day and not for huge commute either (about 5miles a day i guess).
  4. Maybe i should turn my profec up a bit then, i tend to run about 12.5 psi. Guessing i should go out and try the car at 14 psi and see how it feels. Not sure about decat with the horror stories ive read here. Guess a medium aggresive chip would help with the feeling as well. What sort of injectors do people go for in zeds as upgrades? They easily drop in or need fuel rail modifications?
  5. Much work in fitting one of these to a uk TT auto?
  6. As for lightening, ive got the aircon on my hit list, and the hicas as well. Also been thinking along the lines of lightened pullys from smithy... Wasnt sure if that would make the car feel faster or just the engine a bit more revyy?
  7. Haha NOS! Wasnt thinking of going that route, although i guess for £600 ish not bad way to get extra power. How much will it effect the insurance? I was thinking along the lines of bigger injectors and a more aggressive map and something like 14psi? That be safe on standard turbos? And would the car feel much quicker...? Guessing anything over about 16psi just be maxing the turbos and intercoolers? As for the windows, i always try and drive with the windows down, and targas off lol
  8. Huge lol @ "I voted labour so no idea about politics" made me smile... but im sure someone must have voted them in power as they have had two bloody landslides! Please let it end, before jabba prescot gets control!
  9. As some of you will know, ive spent some on my zed recently and now have Smithys big brake kit, stillen anti roll bars, goodridge hoses, greddy profec B spec II, apexi induction, scorpion exhaust and datascan. When i brought the car i was told it has a jwt chip in (need to check i know...), has lots of hard pipes/ stainless bling under the bonnet from various forume sources. I want the car to be faster, it handles nicely now, but just doesnt "feel" that fast. What can i do to make it feel faster.. (not looking at the extreme of getting the engine out for new turbos.) I know i need to look at the chip and probably swap to john dixon or andyp's chips, but what else? Thanks andy (Auto uk TT)
  10. Jase; Not quite the look im after, suits your car but im going for a more subtle look. Jay; Do you know how the hole was made in your bonnet for those vents? I like the idea and as you said hopefully the black will be forgiving
  11. Changed my mind, dont suit the car at all!
  12. I just had to get my rear sill re-welded to pass the mot its an unfortunate issue with these cars as they age. If you speak with jeff at zed world he can supply a patch panel that can be welded in place of your exisiting sill so that would solve the issue and give youa bullet proof sill for years to come. I went that route and found someone that would re-spray and weld it in at a weekend cash in hand.
  13. Sorry im a fool, my xbox live login is geekyhawkes (like you said without the underscore!)
  14. James vents do look really nice, i was thinking along the lines of maybe the JAG xk i think it was, similar to the aston style vents. Think il probably have to give up on the carbon fibre side of things though and just find the vents and cut them in
  15. glad im not alone, what about the CF side of things?
  16. Hi guys, although the summers over, im thinking my zed would benefit from a bit of extra air flowing under the bonnet, and was thinking of getting vented bonnet (maybe CF?) for my zed. Ive had a bit of a look around and not really found anything too tasteful (ie dont want max power / evo style huge vent!) Im more after just a couple of vents (one either side) that dont over power but let some air in. Was also thinking as ive got a black zed a carbon fiber bonnet might look nice, particularly if i paint most of the bonnet and only leave a bit of the CF showing. Anyone seen anything like im describing above?
  17. Floppy disc, now that is retro! You could try copying from msdos, i think its F8 (testing my memory now of legacy operating systems) during the start up as it says "starting windows 98" to bring up the boot menu Then select boot to ms dos, from that c:\ prompt make a new folder in your root dir of c: called temp (or something similar) Then type copy a:\*.* c:\temp\*.* Should copy everything and avoid the use of windows. (the temp directory just ssave you having to type the long directory path to my documents using all the ~~~~~) HTH
  18. Nice cars! Should be fairly cheap to run as well being GM
  19. I would work along the lines "if it aint broke...." (clearly if your having water pipe issues then its different, but if all is well....)
  20. As above on 200 engines, heard of lots of guys bypassing water supply mostly with no ill effects. Never really heard it mentioned here, and lots of aftermarket tubs just have oil feeds. Only problem i would think is that stock tubs were designed to have the water passing through them, just removing it might cause more problems than it would solve. Catch tank of the PCV's is an interesting idea though, presumably your hoping to save the valves (hence not replace them so often?)
  21. CAn you put waxoyl onto the diff? Mines looking bit rusty but wasnt sure if it got too hot for the waxoyl?
  22. yes near coningsby, and do see the odd typhoon
  23. A friend used the clear stuff and said it wasnt as good as the normal stuff
  24. My car is in the same position. Its more a function of getting the wrong alloy wheels really. I couldnt get any spigoot rings to fit my zed as the gap was only a few mm. So long as you get the wheel central before you tighten the nuts it should be fine. Its best to have the wheel a tight fit, but finding the correct size rings might just be too difficult. HTH
