  1. Looks good, and not too expensive at all.
  2. Thanks, what sort of draw should there be on a car? Ive got an alarm and radio but not much else that should draw with the doors closed and ignition off
  3. Almost looks like there is space for an engine in there now!
  4. s15 is a lovely motor, and moding any 200 is cheap as chips compared with a zed (just look at the engine out issue for us turbos wise!) but getting one in the country is tough! And as legrath said, getting an s15 to have the kerb appeal like a zed will cost you thousands! But if you just want a change then its a nice car that wont cost you as much to run!
  5. i just used my hotmail logon which was geeky_hawkes cars wise im more a mclaren F1 man!
  6. Thanks for the info, which clocks? The zed doesnt have a read out to let you know if its the door or the boot though? If i leave it as it is now will i be dischargeing the battery?
  7. Whilst fitting my time delay relay for the interior light i had to modify mr nissans connector but am now wondering if it was the right thing to do. The 2 door switches and the boot switch are all wired to a connector in the passenger side rear 1/4. They then go via a set of diodes into the interior light relay. My new relay just wouldnt trigger with the diodes in place, but as soon as i removed them it triggered fine. Ive removed the diodes and all seemed well, but it got me thinking, why did mr nissan fit them? Ive started to wonder if its an attempt to stop an earth leak through the relay. My gcse electronics is failing me now and im concerned that i might have caused a slow earth leak on my car?? Thanks all
  8. Or start your own little business on the side doing it that way!! IMHO people would be more willing to upgrade turbos if the engine didnt need to come out (labour just makes it stupid expensive if you have to get the engine out!) Just need to get the drivers one out and back now mate and youl have a huge cue waiting!
  9. Something to try thanks guys, i will have a lookm this evening. Does seem strange its only effecting the drivers side though, but worth a look
  10. Sounds good, notice any power increase? Or just best to not have the weight on the car?
  11. Nice work! Now if only you were a magician and could work out how to get the drivers one out!!!
  12. id be up for a race sometime, just add me on your list of friends on xbox live (geeky_hawkes)
  13. Difficult job? Doesnt seem too bad from the link but is that deceptive?
  14. Just dont get an N70, the menus are sooooooooooo slow (esp compared to an N80!) and it just lacks nokias normal polish. Bloody thing unlocks itself often, the camera slider opens in your pocket oh the list gos on. N80 is much better though as long as you can cope with the size of it
  15. Always suprises me the difference in cost to getting more bhp from a zed to something like an s14! To get mid 300 bhp (ie 100over stock) in a 200sx doesnt cost anywhere near as much as it seems to run 400bhp (ie 100 over stock give or take) in a zed! (RWHP) Not saying anything against a zed, i love it, its great, but certainly does seem to eat cash for more power, and to be honest, stock +extra boost +chip just doesnt feel fast to me = lots of cash!
  16. I am reaching the stage where im thinking about wiring my drivers side main beam to the passenger side just to get the fooker working! Dont understand why it has stopped working at all!
  17. THought this was a us only car? was under the impression that nissan didnt want to waste the "skyline" brand's good reputation with any one that knows cars.. That was why they were selling it in us only. It is pretty much a 350z, no skyline at all!!
  18. mate, as much as lots of people will want the kit fit it yourself! As andyp said above rps clutches feel like noraml clutches and the mrs wont notice any different. I have an auto zed and its nice, but so wish i had a manual box! Its on my list of things to do, but im planning something different to a stock zed box, but manual has to be better!
  19. Strange, for me, my zed side lights work fine, and the hid's work fine, the only thing that doesnt work now is the stock zed main/full beam on the drivers side. The hids are not drawing any power from the stock cct, and the main beam itself is a seperate cct with different relay and fuses. Confused as to whats going on really.... Im powering my hids from a new relay wired straight to the battery and triggered by the pass. side dipped cct but dont see how the dipped cct is connected to main beam.
  20. Im only using HID's in the dipped beam but still got the problem , seems there are a few of us.... how strange...
  21. The hids dont draw very much at all and the looms look fine, pretty confused about it really... fuses etc ok relays etc working... back to square one me thinks... Does the main beam take an earth off the headlight caseing itself?
  22. Zed aircon uses r12 but its pretty hard to get hold of should you need a regas... its pretty bad for the environment (think thats why they stoipped using it)
  23. Nar checked it and it works fine in the pass main beam...
