I didnt both ordering the royal purple in the end. Ive got too many other things to spend the £3 on my zed so just got some decent oil as the guys kind of hinted above. Maybe when (IF) i ever get everything else sorted on my zed then il invest in some!

NZR IT / web type guys...
Hi guys, a mate at work has asked me a question that I'm a bit confused how to answer; he has a website ran by a company with a members section (not what your all thinking) that they pay a few to join. Hes been with them for a few years, and was getting paid every month by them (a fraction of the members fews). Thing is, the past 12 months hes not received anything but is sure he is still getting hits on the site so should be getting members. Is there any way he can check if people are joining and hes being ripped off? I wondered about seeing hits on the members only page maybe? (wouldn't be hugely accurate but would give an idea if there are still any members at all i guess?) Problem is that the site is administered by this company so I'm now out of my depth....

NZR Mrs mx5
HI all, my mrs owns an mx5 that recently went into a garage due to overheating problems. They diagnosed it as a head gasket problem and swapped it under warranty. Since then the car has started smoking heavily when started and is using a fair amount of oil. Its been back to the guys and they have said the following: Sell it (not very helpful!) as their is pressure building in the engine? (nice and vague!) It has a rumbly bottom end? Maybe Distorted piston rings? Am i right in saying they should have noticed the piston rings while the head was off? Im guessing mx5 1.6 blocks arnt hugely expensive but its been a nice car until recently. Advice welcome thanks guys

Dip Dim?
Other thing, how do i remove the headlights from the car? Ive had a look just and there appears to be 2nuts holding in some kind of base plate the light is attached to ? The nuts seem to be on the underside of this base plate, and towards the center of the car? Is there anything holding down the outside of the lights or am i looking in the place with these nuts anyways?

Correct Oil Temp for TT
Any pictures of where youve moved stuff? Always thought the zeds radiator wasnt best exposed for the cool air, (that plus the other coolers in front of it!)

Dip Dim?
Sounds good, il give the headlights a clean to hopefully get me through the mot then disable this dip dim type thing later (the mrs has plenty of hairdryers lying around so il be using one of those!)

Dip Dim?

Dip Dim?
After searching the dip/dim issue im not sure how my zed is working at all ? I have a uk spec zed from 1990, but witha 99spec front bumper/spoiler. THe sidelights are contained within the "fog" lights in this bumper. Does this mean dipdim shouldnt be an issue for me>? Is there an easy way i can check? ? Also what sort of temperature have guys been "cooking" the headlights on and for how long? Whats the best thing to use to re-seal the headlight unit after cleaning? Cheers all, sorry to ask stuipid questions but i need to get my headlights sorted to pass the mot!

My car My Car!!
Thats really bad, slight silver lineing is like the guys said, at least it was the windscreen and not the body work. Still sucks though best of luck

HID's
Anyone?

Prices
Much as il get spears thrown for saying it, it wouldnt hurt a zeds second hand price if they put one in one of the fast and the furious films. The price should stabilise out as people are always breaking them, so demand will even supply at some point

Correct Oil Temp for TT
My water runs hot like yours if you boot the zed for a while (based on datascan). Ive checked and bled the coolant level and monitored it closely, but the temperature does peak and then stay about 95. Im going to try some water wetter when i drain my coolant, but it might just be the efficency of your coolant system on the zed
