  1. lol as its more commonly known where i work pornband. Welcome aboard
  2. I repainted my wiper arms recently and just used decent black spray paint, such a difference to the way the zed looks. My black rubber things need something doing to them, but do i remove the rubber then re-spray over the chrome?
  3. We talking about spraying the bits of rubber/plastic that trim the car off? Would you remove the rubber before painting it? Few bits of mine are showing the chrome from underneath?
  4. thanks, got an mot coming up so going to fire the car in for that, and then hopefully (if it all gos well) big brake kit of smithy so should cover the pads that way!
  5. Without wanting to put a spanner in your works fella, wouldnt have thought the cost of this would make it worth doing? You can pick up zeds for stuipidly low prices at the moment so the cost of TT would be less than converting you NA
  6. Just checked barclays terms and conditions and they only cover new purchases, not second hand ones. Out on that front!
  7. Is it speed or throttle position causing the hesitation? Might be the throttle position sensor as mine hesitated with WOT at all speeds. Just cleaned the connectors and all was fine. HTH
  8. RIght thanks for the advice guys, shame paypal doesnt offer more really isnt it? Guess il have to push it through myself
  9. Good point, never thought, yes i did and im pretty sure it was my barclaycard so maybe extra protection in that dept?
  10. Well, im emptying my account on paypal, and probably not going to use it much again if i can help it. I always thought they would cover your ass if it was under £500, im only asking for £87 back and they have just done nothing for me!
  11. thought about going around there, but to be honest it would cost me about the same in petrol as im owed (£87). I think its bloody criminal that payapl advertises upto £500 protection yet they actually do nothing for you.
  12. Anyone know how i can get my cash back?
  13. Thanks, should be ok then! No idea how the emissions will go, although think they have to test it warm anyways so that should help!
  14. And just reading this back, makes my zed sound like a neglected nail! She isnt, but the guy i brought her off didnt look after her well at all, and im getting round to fixing all the things that need doing.
  15. My zed is due an mot next week and I know of a few things wrong that im getting round to fixing. The car produces some smoke on idle from the left bank, its whiteish and since using datascan my left o2 sensor appears a little lazy so im guessing it might be this causing it. As soon as you drive the car with some throttle applied the smoke increases slightly then stops completly even when booting hard in all gears or idling along whilst driving. Also, ive got some front brake type squeeking which is either a warped disc (most likely) or a wheel bearing (trying to confirm which). My rear diff oil cooler is leaking slightly and ive had no time to disconnect it, im guessing this isnt an MOT fail point? Finally, the sills look like they have seen better days. I had the passenger rear sill replaced and repsrayed recently but the drivers rear one is slightly rusty underneth ,and has caused some slight bubbling of the paint on the rear wheel arch (rust!) . Are any of these mot failures? Ive got around £450 available this month for zed repairs, but clearly not enough to fix all these things! Would you guys just put it in for the mot and see what happens, then fix whats needed to get it though ? (thinking £450 should cover most mot issues!) or get some stuff done first? Thanks all, andy
  16. Anyone? Got a bit of time on my hands today, so was hoping to work out whats wrong so i can order parts? EDIT: Been out, jacked the car and spun the wheel. Its definatly coming from the passenger front wheel, and its happening at the same point (during rotation) each time. I tried to move the wheel (checking for any play) and there wasnt any, and it sounds just like its coming from the brakes as its quite a high pitched scraping. Happens in both forward and backward rotation of the wheel and for about half of the rotation? The pad has 5mm of wear left so im guessing its unlikely to be that and more likely a slightly warped disc? Any way i can definatly elminate the wheel bearing?
  17. As some of you will know, ive been disputing a payment i made for an item off ebay that never arrived. I gave the guy selling it loads of time (and bloody emails!) to sort this out but with no resolution. I escalated it with payapl to a dispute and the guy never replied in the time required so it was resolved in my favour. The end i thought, id get my cash back and all would be well. Except, i checked my paypal account today, and it said that they had tried to obtain the cash back from his paypal account but he didnjt have any money in it so they were able to recover £0.00 !!! ". We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information" Does this mean i will get my cash back or what guys? This seems a pointless system at the moment as ive had nothing back!
  18. Sounds about right as its not going to allow any extra air into the engine really but deffinatly different and looks really cool
  19. cheers all, had a lok at the pads and there seems to be a decent amount left (like 7mm ish) of the pad wear left, so guessing that should be fine? Any easy way to work out if its the disc or the bearings?
  20. My front passenger side wheel is squeaking and its driving me crazy! It started a few weeks ago and has gradually got more annoying and slightly more persistant. It used to be only when braking and then just after (so was thinking maybe slightly sticky caliper on that side?) but now is all the time the car is straight or turning left. As soon as i turn right it stops (so fine on islands!), unless im braking and turning right. When driving straight or turning left the squeak is speed dependant and it sounds to me like the disc that side might be warped and its only catching every rotation? Is there an easy way to tell if its brakes or wheel bearing? If its the disc il probably go for smithys big brake kit (more cash but guess its worth it!) Cheers guys
  21. on a hard run with datascan had mine all the way to 96 but stayed there and then came back down. Im going for some kind of water wetter just to be sure to be honest. Think for under £20 its got to be worth it
  22. Id try and get them direct from the states to be honest mate if your going that way. And you never know, mr foose might just knock up one of his awesum airbrushed pictures if you ask nicely!
  23. That guy would get a smacking if i found him sticking stuff in my zed!
  24. Im having a few ideas myself, but not going to go for this laptop now as someone else has obvious bid daft amount as the price has gone well up! Cheers for the advice guys
  25. Ive got an adapter already to run the laptop on my car. Probelm is i would like to use the battery power just to put the laptop in to hibernation. Not a huge draw, but is there any easy way to get the ebay seller to check if its just a battery short or take my chances and then rethink if i cannot get the battery charged?
