  1. right, guessing its a wheel bearing on its way out then?
  2. blimey! you guys go from (err) under the zed or can you get at the o2 sensors from ontop? ive searched but havent really found a clear guide on swapping these yet.. Ona different note how much did people pay for a set of o2 sensors? things to get new or will ones of a breaker do?
  3. If they are a bit bright can you not just use the dimmer for the dashboard lights?
  4. swapped the one on my 200 but that was pretty easy to get to. Think ive got a lazy left hand one, but it makes most sense to swap both of them while im arsing about in there
  5. Can you swap these without major work? Are they accesable with the engine, turbos etc still in the car?
  6. Im kinda looking forward to seeing what they have done with the cars in this one, not too fussed for the story though
  7. Love this, all funny because its true, but no way we would be able to out handle them, they all lean over to help the cornering by putting their weight in the middle of the car. (Idiots!)
  8. Sadly it doesnt get rid of swirl marks or scratches. Bascially its a range of oil products that due to its composition allows more power to the wheels by less drivetrain wastage. If you follow the link below then the details have been tested by jon lowndes in his zed on a dyno : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=72790&highlight=purple+oil and the GB is here if your interested: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=682192#post682192
  9. thanks, figured if i was interested in the stuff few others would be.
  10. Ive noticed that when i turn left in my zed i now get a slight sqealing from the pass rear wheel. Its only recently started and seems to be worse if you corner hard left, but nothing turning right. Im guessing this is the start of the wheel bearing going? How much to replace these? and is it an easy job (guessing not as it is a zed after all!)
  11. No idea im afraid mate. This is definatly a 5 spanner job and im more a 2 (on a good day!) A professional will be along soon to help im sure
  12. Bump. Make sure we catch anyone thats interested
  13. strange that castrol recomend it then isnt it, i thought it sounds strange, as an alternative they said 10w40 which sounds more kind of standard, but you think 10w 30 for a manual? what about autos?
  14. Ive started a group buy for the royal purple stuff we have heard alot about recently. My contact is able to offer a decent (25%) discount for us so if your interested just add your name to the list here Cheers all
  15. right checked and the details seem fine (thanks andyp for the link) but the manual doesnt mention the 10w60 that castrol recommends. What vis oil are people using in their zeds?
  16. Just started this GB guys n gals if anyones interested Here
  17. nice wings mate, really gonna suit that front end when its on
  18. Hi guys, ive got a group buy running atm for royalpurple oils. I just want to check that the information im quoting is correct and to check what ratings of oil people are using : Im pretty sure these quantities are acurate, but wanted to check the ratings side of things. After searching the american zed sites it appears that people seem to use 80w90 in the diff / 75w90 manual box and a dexron III for the autobox. Engine wise castrol recommend 10w60 or 10w40 for the zed. The group buy can be found here Thanks all
  19. thanks danny, i might go the route of swapping the connector on my zed just to get these damn hoses on. If you get a timescale from goodridge id be grateful if you could let me know (hoepfully before i go medieval on my zed!)
  20. ive got 451s on the front and going to get 452 on the rear, but your right about the rim protector, there isnt one, so just have to be careful if you go for them
  21. mate few more details here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=67383
  22. thanks for pressing this for us danny, on a seperate note are you aware of any adapters i could use to hook up the old style hoses onto my zed, id be happy with this solution if you knwo of the adapters?
