  1. Superb work there buddy, well done :)
  2. Oh mate, that's crap news :( I'll be in touch regarding the manual conversion at some point later this year but hope you still come to the anniversary meet next weekend
  3. Haha it needs a thorough cleaning but won't have time for that before the birthday meet but still better than all the leaves and spiders that were in there before ;) Cheers Daffy you're a star! :)
  4. Belvis and Butterhead
  5. Haha it was so filthy I daren't take a photo and post it in case Daffy came up and belted me one
  6. No problem buddy i'll keep you posted but looks like he's having them :)
  7. Terry - i've got a pair of blue glass side windows off the LWB i was breaking a couple of years ago. If you want to sort a courier out to pick them up you're welcome to them :)
  8. While the sun was out and the engine was hot thought the engine bay needed a clean. Much better!
  9. Haha I didn't think it would have been you mate - I think in all honesty it was taken off after the mot leaving the hole behind. You did a cracking job getting everything to fit again mate and the car is superb. Been out for a spin tonight in it and worth every penny. Will have to pop up and see you if you're about this weekend Pete?
  10. Haha didn't see that one coming :P Are you coming up as well mate?
  11. Another one to add to the list :D haha
  12. Wicked! Really looking forward to this - i haven't been to a meet in a few years so can't wait to see what's in the club now :hyper:
  13. Brilliant cheers Andrew!
  14. I'll post some pics up later - i will of course take it down a garage later to fine tune it but at the moment it's virtually undriveable at night. The video i saw was quite quick and reasonably clever (still no match for a pro garage with the right equipment) - pull the car up to a wall, mark the lightbeam centre with a cross: http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_180.htm Then reverse back 25 ft/about 8 metres in a straight line The lights should stay the same height, if not adjust to the line then knock it down a little. This should give you a good estimate of where they should be, mine currently point to the floor about 6-10ft in front of the car so i can't see a thing P.S. i'm not saying do this instead of taking it to a garage but it should give you a rough positioning to get it through the mot with minimal adjustment.
  15. Welcome back trish, good to see an old name back on the forum again :) Nick x
  16. Cheers guys :) If i get chance i'll do a bit more on the engine bay tonight while the weather's good - its dusty and full of spiders at the moment  haha Also need to aim the headlights when it gets dark - currently getting light about 5 foot in front of the car and no further - probably from the accident and repositioning of the lights but the MOT guys didn't pick up on it (seemed in a bit of a rush!)
  17. Good work buddy, keep on it and you'll get there in the end :) A phrase i keep telling myself with the kitchen and conservatory...
  18. Personally for the amount it would cost in petrol to drive there and back i'd take a car transporter out for hire, drive it down and drop it off. It would definitely cost less than driving at 22mpg, less stress than thinking you're going to get nicked all the way down and back and also as good as boldy and mantav8 are it's going to take longer than a day to do so you'd be better leaving it with them, let them get it MOT'd then fly down to East Midlands/Nottingham Airport and get a fellow zedder (i'll happily volunteer) to pick you up and drop you off at their's to retrieve the car. Safe, sound and sorted :) EDIT: 292 miles @ 22mpg = £292 in petrol alone. Hotel for a few days = £150+ quid A transporter: 100 quid for a day Diesel: 180ish Flight down afterwards: 30 quid?
  19. It's going to be an eye opener for me - i haven't been to a zed meet in years now so i'll know no-one apart from slick pete
  20. Mu much better with the smoothed arches buddy, well done :)
  21. That's my mate's old car - beautiful thing it was too with some nice touches :)
  22. Alot of people i've spoken to had a terrible 2013 - hope 2014 is working better for you buddy! :)
  23. Brilliant, that's a great perk to the day - well done guys! :)
  24. Cheers guys - just the engine bay and interior to clean up and refit a new radio and should be on track for the show :) See you then!
  25. Downloaded and ready to go! :)
