  1. Great work buddy, well done :)
  2. Selling my 1991 SWB Slicktop in Cherry Red, Twin Turbo, Automatic THE GOOD PARTS Genuine 99 spec rear lights fitted Meister R coilovers fitted all round Interior panels and seats retrimmed in red connoly leather hide in good conditions Polished stainless cat back exhaust Series two climate control fitted No smoke from the turbos and runs perfectly Low mileage and totally stock engine, cats still attached and not track driven Comes with premium halfords car cover Rare Slicktop SWB Converted to MPH and running a hicas eliminator THE BAD PARTS Registered cat 'C' Damage to top corner of rear bumper (needs new rear driver side bracket to clamp to bodywork), small dent/scratch on nearside door (see next post) Small kerb mark to front wheel Summary If the car were mint condition throughout without the cat 'C' status I would be asking nearer £4500 but as it is cat 'c' and there is work to do to this car i'm asking £3200 for a nice, relatively original SWB Slicktop that drives great. Insurance through a classic policy comes out at £235 a year with mods declared for a 34 year old living in the midlands. It's then up to the new owner if they want to spend the money and restore it back to mint condition and get the car straight on the front or as i've done just drive and enjoy it for what it is. If it doesn't sell this time, then i'll do the work to get it straight and tidy up the scratches, realign the panels and put it up for sale for a higher price later this year. The car will come with 12 MOT and be ready to drive away. Truly sad to let it go but with no garage I can't keep it in good condition and i'm just not getting the chance to drive it any more Car is priced to sell at £3200
  3. Looks brilliant Pete, well done mate!
  4. Weirdo :slap:
  5. Finally got the zed up on ramps and tightened the squeeling belt that's been driving me mad since i bought it - i've only done 2k in 3 years so it's not bothered me that much till now :D haha
  6. I'm still alive and kicking and still driving my Zed  Just i've moved jobs which means I never have time to spend time on the zed any more - I haven't attended a meet in years now basically because i'm doing DIY every weekend these days (how middle aged is that lol)
  7. Great work mate, it took me over 10 attempts before I even got my V8 driving vaguely normally - much easier with a carb than mapping so i don't envy you! :)
  8. He owns both, i think the Dino is his over kit car but that was done from a kit - this is his own doing. I can't get my head round why you would put that much effort in then not get someone to finish it off properly like Mondo for the interior and Allan for the body and paintwork
  9. It's sad really because if he'd put another couple of months in flatting it off and recasting the shell in fresh fibreglass it would actually be alright but he's rushed it. It's a twin turbo Audi V8 with his own mapping and sound lovely although i'd have gone merc V12 for the sound
  10. Reminds me of this chap on the kit car replica builder's forum - bless him he's tried but the finish is absolutely dreadful
  11. Selling up as i'll be putting the slicktop up for sale after the winter and won't be doing the manual conversion on it. Come complete with: Decent manual gearbox TT Flywheel NA Flywheel Clutch Pedal Gearbox dust shield Propshaft for shorty (manual front can be bolted to any rear end LWB or SWB) Clutch master and slave cylinder Various new bushes and seals for the linkage No clutch included but do have a worn 6 puck racing clutch that needs new clutch pads fitting that could be included for the right money Other parts but will confirm when i've had a look through this weekend Quick sale needed to finance another project, buyer to collect or will deliver for a fee Pictures to follow when i empty out the shed this weekend £350 or best offer
  12. Haha now that's some time ago! :D
  13. Happy Birthday buddy, hope you're keeping well! :) Have a great day!
  14. Great news and looks great mate, glad it's all sorted now :)
  15. I know just how exciting a feeling that is - a great achievement, well done mate! :D
  16. Thanks guys! Only just got back on the net - i've been away for the week in cornwall and had an awesome time cycling :)
  17. Really genuinely lovely guy and the best bond baddy - RIP Richard x

  19. I'm really sorry to read this mate, my thoughts go with you and your family
  20. Great work mate it's really coming together :D
  21. I LOVED the sagaris but the tuscan at the time was the first of the next generation of TVRs that i saw when i was younger and i always had a massive soft spot for it - it's on my list of dream cars for the garage :) It sounds very much like a rough raw V6 but with the leccy whine it has a really individual sound to it! Ahh the cerbera, i love all TVRs - the interior of the cerbera was always one of my favourites
