  1. Sad to hear you've had all this going on but the truck looks awesome, well done buddy! :)
  2. He's on facebook if you give him a search? He's on my friendslist https://www.facebook.com/mark.rawlings.739
  3. October 2015: The slicktop struggled to get me home losing cylinders as I went along with the exhaust overheat light on. Pulled it in the driveway and gave up for the winter, wouldn't restart. March 2016: I suspected cat failure so decided to cut two holes in the exhaust to get it started and low and behold it worked April 2016: I popped it up on 4 ramps and removed the entire exhaust Last week I had my mate come out with some tools and knowledge to remove all 6 broken studs from the downpipes (i'm been flat out with the garden/patio etc to do it myself) so it's all ready for the next step. I bought a set of Japspeed decat pipes and hopefully this weekend i'll finally get to fit them and junk the AIV valves! :hyper: Can't wait to get the little red Zed back on the road again! :) Pictures to follow this weekend...
  4. Well I watched it on Sunday, then watched the first episode of old top gear on Netflix the next night and it was like night and day. On the positive: - Love the idea of junking the old track and putting in some rallycross. Much better than rehashing the old track again! On the negative: - No chemistry or camaraderie whatsoever between Evans and LeBlanc - The power of 3: Clarkson/Hammond, Clarkson/May, May/Hammond never worked - it just never did. Add in the 3rd person and it all just worked. - LeBlanc pouting every time he delivered a line - LeBlanc live - Chris Evans voiceover doing a Clarkson ...and by far THE worst offender, wasting Chris Harris  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8AMAhCRmep7VJKe1sxvHFg For anyone who hasn't watched Chris Harris on Cars on youtube, watch it - toward the end he was getting close to the production and editing of any of the good clarkson sections. He was the one point I thought they'd get right as he can drive the buts off a car, talk to camera, he's a total geek and funny with it. Sticking him with a YOOF presenter ("Yo blad, it's BBCIII innit") he looked totally out of place. THE SOLUTION Get rid of LeBlanc, put in Plato or someone with a strong personality and used to driving and talking and move Harris accross to join the team and you'll find it works alot better. I think this season will be a bit of a write off but remember season 1 of the new top gear with the fat guy instead of May and you'll remember it wasn't that great. Give it another season or two and things will finally gel. I don't envy being thrown in at the deep end of having to come up with a concept, get the staff in, film and write an entire series within 2 months of being told you have the job so for that I commend Chris Evans but the first episode against an average clarkson and co top gear doesn't even come close. Grade C - Must try harder....
  5. As always amazing work Bob and an inspiration for any 300zx owner :D
  6. That... Is... Beeeautiful - well done buddy! :hyper:
  7. Looking superb buddy, can't wait to see this on the road! :)
  8. Happy Birthday buddy! :hyper:
  9. Happy Birthday Lee, have a good one buddy :hyper:
  10. I had a Volkswagen Derby Saloon which cost be the grand sum of £50. It was handpainted in burgundy over a silver shell, had 42,000 miles and a crack between 2 cylinders so got about 15 mpg and eventually after someone ran into it then i had a puncture someone bought it off me for £100 and i got repair money off the person who ran into me. Overall in 6 months ownership I made £150 profit :D haha Looked very much like this....
  11. I had no idea she'd passed away - i haven't been on the forum the past 12 months with so much going on. So sad to hear this but even sadder to know it's been a year. She was a true zed enthusiast and one of those names that's been around since I started on here. I did briefly meet her once and she seemed a lovely lady and her zed was absolutely stunning. A sad loss to the club x
  12. Happy Birthday buddy! :D
  13. Christ, that's awful news. Hope you make a quick recovery Rich!
  14. Finally managed to get the TT running again - the cat collapsed in on itself last october and it's sat stranded on the driveway till the other day. Cut out two holes to relieve the pressure and cranked it over - started on the key. It's now up on stands and spend yesterday ripping off the exhaust back to the downpipes. I'm in two minds whether to replace the downpipes as well or just do from their back - it took 4 hours to get to where i am now and broke all 6 studs in the process - fear is i would end up breaking the studs on the turbo then drilling them out would be a nightmare :/ Next weekend back on with it....
  15. Superb, well done mate - a kindred spirit, willing to give anything a go! :D
  16. These came with the Stagea but I replaced them with the 350z wheels. I did start sand blasting them clean but never got round to finishing them, one was quickly blown over with black rattle can to test the colour. Wheels are free of cracks, tyres have lots of tread but are cheap nasty chinese rubber and are so old they're cracking so not fit for road use. 225/45/18 tyres front and back and brand new bore adapters to bring them to standard nissan fitting, pcd is correct and sit nicely. Clearing up the garden so £150 and buyer to pickup with cash in hand and they will look great on a zed. (The last picture is what they SHOULD look like when refurbished)
  17. Did you get any further with this buddy? :)
  18. Happy Birthday buddy, hope you're doing well now :)
  19. Happy Birthday buddy, hope you're doing well now :)
  20. I stared at mine in the dark for a full 10 seconds when I got back from work. It's still sitting there stuck on the drive after the catalytic convertor collapsed back in October and runs for approximately 10 seconds before dying. I wish i had the time to be jack it up and cut the exhaust off so I could move it back to a better position but the house is taking up all my time at the moment. Hopefully this year i'll be building a workshop then i'll be stripping it down, fitting downpipes and decats, welding in the straight front headlamp panel and getting the paintwork sorted out
  21. I have to say I LOVE that, well done buddy :)
  22. Welcome to the club Adam, I work in Derby city centre - when i get the old girl back on the road next year we'll have to try and get some of the midlands lot out for a meet :)
  23. Christ, that's not good buddy - hope you make a full recovery!
