  1. I can run a patch of oil through a 5 micron membrane and look at it under my microscope. I have all the gear here for when I look a Skydrol (aviation hydraulic fluid) which I pull through a 1micron membrane. I doubt use engine oil could be successfully pulled through a 1micron membrane even if it was warmed to so that it were about 60 centerstokes. You'd be horrified I think, even after looking at the sample under a 5 micron membrane. Engines are designed to run at difference tolerance levels, so whilst you may expect a good ISO cleanliness code to be say, 14/12 in a healthy hydraulic system, you may see engine oil from a car at 18/16 or something greater, which is perfectly acceptable, but as a result will have far more contamination in it. Would be interesting to know what sort of cleanliness levels you need from our cars. Oil could last longer if the filtration was better.
  2. Not touched it. But will be replacing the HICAS arms when I do the suspension rebuilt. Want to keep it as close to how Nissan intended it. Just with everything operating as close to new as possible. Same reason I'd never get rid of the Air conditioning.
  3. I have. It's the reason that MOST people choose not to fit a single exit. Prefer the nice burble of the twin exit over the louder droan of the single. It's what makes the VG so distinguishable. Seriously, I've NEVER heard a single exit on a Z32 sound better than a good quality true twin system.
  4. Might be because twin exit looks and sounds sooooo much better. ;)
  5. Approaching 70 you may well be Dave. Good on ya too mate. You are obviously young at heart. :duffer:
  6. You're probably just better off going to a shoe shop or electronics store and ask if they could either collect any they don't have or let you take away what they do. You may struggle to purchase from a desiccant sachet manufacture. You could always ring them up for some samples I suppose, but I doubt they'll sell you any in the quantities that you require.
  7. Who's the oldest on here then? Vinz? Old Zed? ;)
  8. That was probably in my top 3 fav Zs of the UK if I'm honest. Beautiful car. Shame it's now dead.
  9. I don't like those things one bit. Z32 dash has a cool easy-to-the-eye shape. Looks a mess with odds and sods stuck all over it. This is the only way I'd have mine.
  10. In there for some colonic irrigation hence the 'blockage' on the mind? lol ;)
  11. Nice words. Good too see this side of Islam.
  12. Eeeeooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww, I'd rather eat my feet! :hurl: It's a shame you've put those up there as I bet there's a few semi-defunct persons on here that'll go out and buy a set. Each to their own, but those are absolutely grotesque.
  13. I think people are probably bored senseless of seeing it! Nice thought though. :D
  14. Why don't you just look on this site! lol
  15. Good God!! What's going on with your exhausts man?
  16. Right, I am fitted new springs and dampers as well as camber adjustment arms, front and rear + front tension rids all from powertrix. What other suspension bushings really need to be replaced? I am getting new hicas arms for it, but would like to know what additional bushings I need. I guess I also need the gaskets too between strut top and turrets.
  17. LOL @ people complaining about the noise....remind me again how long Castle Combe circuit has been there...hmmmmmm, let me see...1950..before it was an airfield. Quite why someone moved there knowing that and then 50 years later moaned about it is beyond me...especially since noise levels are now LOWER due to noise level restrictions!
  18. This lot turned up today from the US. The Powertrix stuff is simply fantastic. Amazing quality and was worth the money just as bits of nice engineering to look at LOL! Had no idea the top arms were that big. They look tiny in the photo online.
  19. Got mine through today! Nice one Steve. Looks really good. Some nice cars in there too.
  20. How on earth were you to know that something that innocent would go that far though Mark. The whole idea of a teddy is something for kids to love....surely with them naming it after this prophet would be a nice thing. I think the whole situation is totally ridiculous.
  21. Loosen up ffs! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7112929.stm If kids in a Christian school named a teddy 'Jesus' would anyone really even think about it? Absolutely ridiculous.
  22. I shave in the shower after a long soak. If I just wet shave, I end up cutting my face to shreds. Dry shave/electric razors are crap. Strange that when I do my gnads, I never ever cut them. But slice my face to bits at times. I ALWAYS moisturise after a shave.
