Peeps,

Does anyone know if any company makes a rear valance/bumper for a single exit exhaust. It seems that the aftermarket aero part companies only seem to faciliate for people with double exit exhausts, and i cant help but feel that with double exit valances leaves cars with single exit exhausts looking unfinished.

Over to you guys and girls to see what you can come up with.

you need to get a bodyshop to fill one in

regards,

alex

Friday did have one for sale, not sure if it was sold...

Yep I did, and yep it got snapped up! I had the same problem which is why I reshaped the existing right hand opening and did away with the one on the left. Looked a helluva lot better for it.

you got a pic friday.

It just seems a bit daft that companies make single exit exhausts, and have done for ages, and yet no one makes a rear valance to suit it, surely there is a big enough market for it!

Had mine done.

just have to say, thats sexy as fook

Might be because twin exit looks and sounds sooooo much better. ;)

You poor deluded fool Si...:D ;)

But seriously, I've NEVER heard a twin TT system that sounded better than the single exit system I used to run (which now belongs to another member on here as I couldn't use it with the V8 :( )...and that's the God's honest truth.

Pics of the bumper in it's unpainted state are on my old for sale thread here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=100648

I have. It's the reason that MOST people choose not to fit a single exit. Prefer the nice burble of the twin exit over the louder droan of the single. It's what makes the VG so distinguishable.

Seriously, I've NEVER heard a single exit on a Z32 sound better than a good quality true twin system.

each to their own - i much prefer the sound of a single

hehe... buy another 1 and hang it on the other side... it doesnt have to attach to anything!

you spent to much time as a youth reading "practical mechanics" when i was up trees for conkers

single exit all day long, yea the Z doesnt look quite right with the emptiness on the other side but thats easily sorted, I loved my twin exit, 3" system from tubs back but then doing the house up started getting pricey so I started toying with the idea of selling the Z to fund some stuff for the house then I spotted an HKS super drager on ebay for £150 and bit the blokes hand off remembering my first Z having one so had to hear it again and ohhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyyy gooooooooooooood what a sound!! totally changed the way I looked at and felt about the car, instantly decided it was staying and soon after selling my uk auto tt I bought some nice wheels for it :D

I used to have a Super Dragger and Megan racing Downpipes and decats, and it just sounded awesome!

I do agree with you in some respects Si, having the twin system gives the exhaust note a hint of V8, but like some have said, each to their own, and its a single for me every day of the week

Wow. I must've missed that conclusive, world wide poll where 8 out of 10 Z owners, who expressed a preference, chose a twin over a single exit. Guess I'm just not as on the ball as I used to be....damn....looks like it's a gin soaked decline, the eventual shunning of polite society and a brief spell in a Swiss euthanasia clinic for me then.

:p ;)

Being the (un)lucky bugger i am, my red Z has a twin exit ZEES EX system, and my black Z has a single exit Kakimoto system.

The twin zorst deffinately sounds deeper, but not as deep as most of them i have heard. The single kakimoto is very loud hooligan equipment :D and I just love the sound! Quite noticibly higher than the twin.

Also on looking underneath, it has a 'volume' adjuster, turn it and it goes quieter. I need to rig up a cable to this as it would be a very usefull feature.

So my conclusion: Twins look better, singles sound better :p :mac1: :smw:

agreed :D

In my opinion a nice sounding exhaust is one that sounds deep and purrs, I think of loudness as what you get from your avarage 'chaved up' nova etc.

I'm definitely in the twin exhaust camp.

And anyway, don't twin exhausts just look so much more classy? They give the right balanced look to match the Zed's perfectly balanced overall shape.
