I bloody hate shaving, I seem to get a rash now and then on my neck, was thinking of getting a good elecric razor but im not sure it will cure the problem of wet shaving????

I have a vibrating mach 3 thingy ehich is good but any one else have any ideas?? I know i'm 24 and should have worked out how to shave by now :slap: but hey.....what can you do :D

Wet shave if I actually want a shave...or electric razor if I want the "not shaved" look lol

I use a Philips Coolshave - best of both worlds really :D

Me too - still get a rash though .... :(

Me too! Mines the one with the Nivea balm refills....how gay is that  Still, it does work!

I use kingofshaves oil for sensitive skin and a Gillette Fusion. i use to get sore patchy red skin after shaving. then use nevea aftershave balm for sensitive skin. using this oil helps a lot - infact i think the balm probably cured it most. A blade is waaay better than any electric shaver. I've tried a fair few and for smoothness... blade all the way. My lady hates the feel of my face when i shaved with electric... and well... why else would you shave unless u had to?? ;)

sucks being a bloke eh?! :D

Problem (for me) is that a blade shaves too close, the hairs retract under the skin which feels very smooth, but they become in-grown and then I have lots of lumps, the razor hacks the top off and I'm a mess ... So, electric with slimy stuff is the way.

Lol, is there anything thats not been discussed on here

pah never mind.....

shaving habbits change over time anyway :D

I sometimes get that as well and I find its worse using an electric, but when my Grandad started his chemo he gave me his old 3-piece razor that he was issued during the war and I thought well why the hell not? and not had a problem since as it dosent give as close a shave plus the blades are way cheaper lol

I used to get the same rash, and AndyP has described it perfectly.

Now, I just run the clippers over it once or twice a week and always have a "designer" stuble.

Women love it too... :D

I think you'd look sweet in a Tutu :slap:

I find that if I'm applying too much pressure with the blade it leaves a sore rash like skin behind....but I've found soft strokes work better even though you have to go over 2-3 times...still leaves a clean shave with baby soft skin!!

I shave in the shower after a long soak. If I just wet shave, I end up cutting my face to shreds. Dry shave/electric razors are crap.

Strange that when I do my gnads, I never ever cut them. But slice my face to bits at times.

I ALWAYS moisturise after a shave.

Too much information ! :hurl:

Electric razors are crap! Its all about preparation - make sure you get as much HOT water on your face BEFORE applying shaving foam/gel. Then use a razor washed under a cold tap. I used to suffer big time but since doing the above, not a single problem :)

il try that as my neck gets proper sore!

i find aswell, using a shaving brush helps seperate the hairs and makes shaving more comfortable

Its all about how hot you can take it before you move on lol. The heat not only softens the stuble but also makes the skin more subtle.

talking of shaving why do women shave the putang in the bath and shower (my missus) and not rinse down 100% and leave spiders legs all over the place
