Power to PAX footwell on series 1
I've got, 'fingers crossed'. a LHD series 1 subframe coming my way which I am using on my passenger side to retro-fit electric pax seat. Is there power in that footwell like there is on the drivers' side or will I have to run some power to it? cheers

I know someone in the US that will ship out of Japan. So it's possible. :) Expect to see a true twin-DIN centre console in mine with the next 6 months. :) Might also look at getting the illuminated 99-spec window switches.

Astra's ??????
Isuzu lump was the earlier 1.7s as found in the MK3 and MK4 DTi 16v. the 2.0 is a different engine as far as I know. Brazillian built. 8v non turbo and was badged as the 2.0 Di. Unaware of the turbo versions, but they'll be based on the same Brazillian 8v unit. AFAIK, the only diesel units in the Astra G are 1.7 DTi 16v and the 2.0 Di. Common rail 1.7 (CDTi) was fitted to the Astra H, currently Astra. The 2.2DTi 16v was only available in continental Astra Gs and was the unit fitted to the Vectra before the Saab/Vauxhall 1.9 Common rail turbos were launched.

Bodyshop recommendations?
Yeah, the guy that did my car. I had mine sprayed then the paint detailed. But the guy that sprayed my car does all the VW camper vans and custom stuff. He's had quite a few of his jobs on feature cars in some of the VW magazines. He owns and runs 'Castle Garage' in Bampton, Devon, just a small bodyshop, bit he's good and has lots of experience in painting pearls and candys etc. The pearl in mine is very evenly sprayed.

my ideal next car
The S4 is also the best looking car in its class and the best built. It'll sound far nicer with that V6 engine.

my ideal next car
If you can afford it, LMs are the way forward. The nicest wheel you get get for a German motor....unless you a some HRE rims...I considered them for my Z before, but would probably go with HRE 540s on mine. BBS are best for German motors.

rear lights
They look the best on a black car IMHO.

Would rather have it in the silver or metallic blue. But it is nice. :)

alloys and tyres - original UK 300zx - need help and advice
I'd stick with stock. They look a little odd with equal sized rims. It's why JDM models look odd. Wider rears make the stance look more aggressive. Get them all shot blasted and a nice fresh coat of silver and fit them. :) Standard UK rims look good IMHO.

Which Bumper
Unless you're going for a complete kit with smoothed out swaged lines and smoothed in skirts, I'd disregard both of those, neither match the existing lines of the standard car. Sure, you have skirts on yours, but you have a line that runs round the car and with either of the above, it just stops. It'll look a little mish-mash if you were to simply fit either of the above with no body mods. It's why simply fitting a greddy front end to a standard car looks pants. Unless you're going to do work on the existing car, then fit 99-spec. I'd put standard wings and Stillen nose panel too.

Where can I get leather seat covers
Jimmer has 'katzkin' ones which are very good as well. Similar quality to mine. Also, importsextreme.com are highly regarded in the US too.

Where can I get leather seat covers
Very highly recommend leatherseats.com not seen quality like that on other kits. Stitching is very nice, double stitched, oem rear pocket, all looks fantastic quality. I am probably going to get the front seats done professionally as I want it to look as factory-fit as possible. What I'll probably do is take the seats apart and drop off the sections at the trimmers minus the tweed to save costs. I'll do the rear bench myself, but the door cards and most of the other bits, I'll have done professionally as I don't simply want them stuck to the door cards like many I've seen. I want the sections cut up, double stitched in sections, so it looks factory fit.

leather or velour
I do like that. I think if I had a blue or red Z, I'd get corresponding coloured alcantara as red vinyl/leather ain't nice at all. I'd prolly go for half leather/half alcantara.
