  1. If your car has been sat for so long, I wouldn't give up on the engine quite just yet. Get your rad flushed out again and bleed. You probably have a lot of silt and shit in there. Try and identify which of the cylinders is down and check the connections on these. Injector connectors fur up easily and often as well as coil-pack connectors. If those aren't the problem, try another coil pack. Just try and go through a process of elimination. Have you cleaned ALL the connectors out?
  2. I am potentially in the US or mainland Europe around these dates, but if not, I would like to put myself down as a 'tentative'. Is there a deadline or is this open right up until D-day!?
  3. If you're after an original car, you can't go wrong with this beauty! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-Formidable-Z32-Nissan-300ZX-Twin-Turbo-with-Full-History-and-an-Amazing-Tale-/281256996622?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item417c392f0e
  4. That's poo. Maybe it's time to start again if the engine now needs rebuilding? Break your car and buy that nice white 96 TT as a project car? Would work out cheaper than an engine build / welding / respray. Now that so much needs doing, is it financially viable?
  5. Just checked my MOT status online. I'd forgotten I'd had it MOTd in May last year. I might get it taxed this week! Weather's half decent again - no salt on the roads and it's dry. But the roads are trash at the moment. :(
  6. I agree with the above, but I'll also state, there's absolutely nothing wrong with an older car. If in good condition, they're every bit as good, as generally, they come with a higher level of specification too.
  7. Top on is a USDM bumper, they are different from JDM bumpers, but generally only with small detail. Personally, because yours is an ultra rare 95+ Euro model, I really would leave the bumper you currently have.
  8. Indeed, being a good friend, I will always support Jimmer, but he really is a legend with these cars. He's meticulous and takes real pride in his work. The Z community are glad that Ztech and SWZed no longer exist, we don't hear of any horror stories from 'Z specialists' so much anymore - just legacy stuff that keeps popping up now and again. The community is well served by Jimmer at PowerZed and also Jeff at Zedworld.
  9. Hi Al, Welcome to the club. Regarding exhausts, most Z32s come with aftermarket stainless systems. The OEM system is extremely expensive (some £800+ iirc) and made from mild steel. You can find them second hand, but they are very restrictive and have no real sporty note to them and look pretty weedy. I can empathise with your reasoning for wanting a stock system, I was the same when I bought my Z, but there are excellent systems out there that are smooth and drone-free but with a refined burble. Audio can be fitted fairly inexpensively. Depending on the condition, I'd say £4k is a fair price for a 95. If it's in excellent condition and a manual, then I'd say it's probably slightly under pricing - finding a nice one can be hard and IMO, a tidy one is very much worth it. Weak points on a 95 generally won't be body, but check the arches, sills - also get underneath and check the floor pan for rot and the tinwork under the rear bumper. For mechanicals, check for smokey turbos or signs the rings might be worn, also look for leaks. They are generally prevalent from the back of the engine and often tend to be main seal, cam seals, PAS rack seals. Interior condition - if it's not been retrimmed is generally a tell tale sign of how much it's been used. The bolsters are the first things to wear. There are plenty of buying guide threads on here. Have a trawl through the search facility too - it's been YEARS since I bought my Z and have no real recent experience.
  10. The north will always be 'The Grim North' Bri! But I am more accepting! hehe! ;) Only messing mate! :pint:
  11. Make sure you have a nice long relaxing poo first!

  13. This is my second round here! I have been a member since 04 or 05. The club's members make it what it is and they've always been a good bunch generally. In addition, I think this place has become a little more member-focused since the change in committee. It's made the club a lot better IMO.
  14. Just to add - gutted for Lee. Hope you have better luck with your next purchase.
  15. Looking good! Time for some new exterior trim to top it all off! :)
  16. No disrespect to Lee over this, but I was rather surprised when you sold that clean-ish red UK TT and bought this. Sure, the red one had an unknown surprise, but I'd seen that car in the flesh and whilst it wasn't perfect, it was relatively straight and clean. This jap one I always thought looked like it had had a bunch of welding on it. I would have held on to that red one - it was a reasonable base. Tell-tale signs of cheap sill repair. Always used to see patched up Fords done in this way. With the engine issues and the suspected welding, I wouldn't have gone for it personally.
  17. Have a great day Andrew! Thanks for all your help this year! :)
  18. I like yellow too, but not that ugly bodykit. You could save it! :)
  19. It's been said that my CV is extremely good and I don't have a problem getting interviews for reasonably high calibre roles. Happy to help if you need it.
  20. Have you actually tried speaking to Jeff about this yet!?
  21. He should get rid of it then! LOL @ the mirrors! ;)
  22. I hope that Corsa isn't yours! :clown:
  23. Thanks guys! The wiring is nowhere near finished. Above the footwell needs to be secured and anchored correctly. The cables are mearly arranged and routed. Quite happy with the outcome. I am going to refit the head unit properly today, refit the car harness, ECU and CC ECU plus, as mentioned, totally secure the wiring. It'll be completely hidden, neat and compact. :)
