  1. Shame it's not the Twin Turbo version which also got the hp upgrades. The Aus Stillen Z32 was an NA with a Stillen kit and not much else. There were no power upgrades as there were with the US version and no interior upgrades. I would sooner import VersionR. The Aussie Stillen's rarity would not be recognised in the UK and the value would drop like a brick, so I can't say it would be the bargain of the centuary....

  3. Smooth nose panel too! No more snout! :)
  4. If he describes all the bad bits after the sale, you can just put it back through ebay as 'item not as described'....so yeah, as you've said, you'll be fine. That car's been there a while, I doubt you're the first person to do this! Personally, I'd have a look at the 96 TT for sale on here. There's a few minor things needed doing to it, but other than that, it looks solid.
  5. Dead people? Rodents? Next door's chinchilla?
  6. Not being fussy. For the price, you'd at least expect a car without rust. Walk away. You should be able to get a straight UK TT Manual for £5k. Strange that there are photos with and without the interior.....makes you wonder what the exterior ACTUALLY looks like CURRENTLY. Also...it might be photo clarity...or lack of, but the offside suspension turret looks like it has a line of weld on it too. Nearside sill is notably darker hinting that it's had rot cut out and replaced. Because there are still cars about that haven't had rot repair and are rot-free, then I would ALWAYS suggest steering clear of a car that's been welded. There are enough rust-free cars out there without having to look at rusty ones. Wheel arch repair is a different matter, but structural repair, I wouldn't unless it was done to a high standard.
  7. Nope. Euro-spec only. I think Canadian cars 'might' have had it too, but that's it. It wasn't available on US cars, or Australasian supplied vehicles.
  8. I've had a flocking idea for my glovebox. The glovebox on the Z is a hard and cheap looking plastic. As they're now getting on, the finish is not quite 'showroom' and I was thinking about getting it flocked so that it feels a looks a little nicer. When I mean the glovebox, I mean the plastic liner. My old E90 M-Sport had one and it felt quite nice. Wondering if anyone's had this done before? Would do mine in black, but possibly dark grey?
  9. Same question as JoelyP....
  10. Pressure wash and scrub the arches and paint them with satin Hammarite. :)
  11. ..yes, about that...

  13. I guess you're going to have these little issues for a while. Have you done a 60k services? Car's been off the road for 2 years or something, when was the main service last done? Well done on the MOT, I bet it's strange driving it after so long!
