Time to replace the daily driver!
I didn't want leather interior, but it has everything else. 8" TFT display, SatNav and infotainment system that does almost anything you want it it to including having a little touch pad in the centre console to navigate. This is identical to mine, cloth sports seats, nav system etc. A very pleasant cabin, lovely ride quality....hard to believe it's a Poxhall! Will ditch the Vauxhall badging though! Wanted to pick it up sooner, but we're burying Grandma tomorrow as she died last week, so I'm down in Somerset at my folks' house.

I'm quite used to electronic handbrakes and kinda like them. I had a Passat R-Line for a while and it had it. When you get used to it, I found them to be very useful and the extra space they free up is a bonus.

Here she is! Great car and bags of fun. Because it has such a taught chassis and LOTS of torque, I end up driving everywhere in it like a bit of a c**t!

Time to replace the daily driver!
I think they look awesome - kinda remind me of the RST Dog-leg wheels. Mine comes with the 19" 'Atomic' wheels though (which I prefer) - but the car is identical.

long shot, veilside evolution exhaust
China!? Probably wasn't a real one! Ian, you could try Lee (Bird), iirc, he did have a spare one that needed a little bit of work doing to it. FYI, bestest exhaust EVER! :)

Time to replace the daily driver!
Well, the Leon FR is getting old and the mileage is creeping up! So I've decided to get it replaced. Ideally wanted something larger (under a year old with about 10,000 on it), still kinda sporty looking, but more comfy with far superior better equipment. Budget wasn't massive as I've just moved house. I have a friend who owns a Vauxhall dealership and, despite swearing I'd never have another, I've just put a deposit on an Insignia SRi VX-Line Nav. It's a very different car to the Leon, but it has surprisingly good handling. I had wanted an A4, but their residuals are soooo high. They'll retain more, but I got this top-spec Insignia for a really good price. I was never a big fan of the first iteration of the Insignia, but their mid-term facelift made them look a LOT more appealing. I've of course gone for white, my Leon was white, the Z is white! So I'll be picking this up next week all going well. It will stay pretty standard, apart from a bit of tailgate de-badging and some Opel badges (I hate the Vauxhall logo) and will transfer the private plate over.

Newbie, from newcastle
Strange, this car has just appeared on Facebook for sale.....from a bloke in Leamington - exactly the same photos. Either you don't like this car already, either one of you is an imposter or you didn't even buy it!!

300zx tt 1997
If it's midnight purple, it's likely that it's a legit 97 model from the Japanese domestic market. For reference, UK supply ended in early 94, European supply ended in late 95 (96 spec series 4). A stock 97 model would have the following items making it distinguishable from other model years; 96/97 models would have blue tint glass, raised rear spoiler (some call it the horse-shoe), it won't have a boost gauge on TT models, these were re-introduced in 98, seatbelts (as has already been suggested) would have a tag suggesting year of manufacture, they'd also be mounted to the B pillar, additional colours were added to the range such as super-white pearl, cobalt green and midnight purple. There would also be some other minor switchgear differences.

The Great Southern joint-area 300zx Christmas party! (Dec 14th - PM)
It wasn't the reason Ian, we've got a high lack of numbers for this. Forecast also didn't help. However I haven't checked it this avo.

We'll organise something for the New Year. Probably early Easter, if not before! :)

The Great Southern joint-area 300zx Christmas party! (Dec 14th - PM)
Unfortunately not; it's with regret following discussions with Stephen that we are cancelling tomorrow's lunch meet. A combination of a high amount of people pulling out and a perceived horrendous forecast has led to this decision. We are sorry, but promise that we'll have some bigger and better meets planned for the new year. I hope you'll understand out decision, it's not one we've taken lightly either! If any of you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact either Stephen or myself.

Well, some more have dropped out. May have to cancel this at this rate....

thoughts on this cambelt kit and tensioner?
....if you spent £5k on an engine build, you shouldn't really be asking this question! It's like buying a Ferrari and putting LingLong tyres on it!

Thinking of a change of colour!
Same colour as Gio's car and that's definitely grey! This is more of a pearl grey.

- Thinking of a change of colour!
I'd go with the late grey as painted on the 99-spec at the top. It has more depth and is more vibrant than everything else posted. - Thinking of a change of colour!
