  1. It's the pattern waterpumps that are a bit hit and miss. For the small extra cost (in real terms) and the insurance policy that buying OEM gives you, I'd ALWAYS buy OEM service kits.
  2. Still after this!! My clutch booster hose expired on me last year. I fitted a temporary black silicone hose, but really want the correct hose. I would purchase new, but this part is now NLS, so I am after a used one if anyone has one laying about. It must NOT either be frayed, have been cut to remove/shortened. Original in good condition only please. I don't need the clips. It's this the hose between the joint and the balance bar.
  3. Was that the one that ended up on my car at the NEC? lol
  4. Sooooo happy to have a driveway and a garage! :)
  5. No, I thought about it though. Mine's a late MK2 170TDi FR+, so it's pretty pokey already.
  6. Don't worry, I'll be in my trusty Leon too!
  7. That's been up there for a few years! Workmanship is garbage. The wheel's only use is now as garbage. Just sent the seller the following:
  8. I need to take some of mine as it's semi-concourse underneath. ZERO rust and clean surfaces. I clean under the car when I get it on the ramp and it doesn't get used in shit weather/wet.
  9. I'd come and help you paint it if I lived a little closer. Have sprayed a quite a few things before with compressor. I actually really enjoy it. I think if I had a little more spare time, I'd take up as a hobby. It's really satisfying, especially if you do a half decent job! :) This was the best effort I did....when I was at uni in the late 90s, I had this Cavalier Cesaro as well as my V6 Astra, the wing mirrors were completely screwed.... Took my time and spent ages finishing it off with a colour sand and lots of polish. ....and then fitted! Pretty happy with colour-match and finish. Did the wheels too! They looked pretty scabby. Full strip down and prime. ....finished article, with new centre cap lockers.
  10. Oh no! I've just looked at the hires image - it has glitter paint!! No wonder it's not selling!
  11. Apart from the front bumper and those awful rear lights, it does look nice. As above, been for sale forever!!
  12. Yup! Same shit! I hate this iPhone, over rated piece of overpriced nonsense! I miss my droid! I will be going back to one!
  13. Hahahahha! Awesome! I'm a keen mountain biker, but road cyclists often piss me off. Why, when councils invest millions in cycle lanes do they continue to cycle on the road? I agree with tossers who wear dark clothing and have no lights on, that drives me up the wall. Police were giving on-the-spot fines a few years ago when they had a crackdown on it. Standards have slipped in recent years. Reckon they need another TV campaign! Common sense lacks!
  14. Unlikely to get enforced into how you're reading into it. It basically gives more power in law to penalise those who are breaking the law. Police are unlikely to pull over a parade of Morris Minor owners driving sensibly to a car event, or are they to engage in people following each other driving responsibly. Laws are too lenient for tosspot chavs hanging out in car parks and such like doing burn outs, racing down streets, driving like morons and causing a nuisance to the neighboroughood. If those people are then caught as part of a crack down, that's great. It's those types that authorities are to target. The biggest issue is the use of the word 'cruise'. They're not cruising, they're either parked up with their 12 year old girlfriends, or doing handbrake turns and doughnuts. A 'cruise' really ought to be 'just that', a nice relaxing convoy of cars driving through nice scenery. I HATE cruise type events that seem to be all the rage in this country. FULL of chavs, shitty modified cars, moron drivers and the combined IQ of about 45. I've never been into the whole street-racing scene, drifting or anything like that, so I'm probably being unfair and prejudice. My point still stands, as a target demographic, these 'cruise' events are what police are going to go for, so I wouldn't worry.
  15. When originals (if you can find one) fetch nearly £200k, it's not so bad. These are authentic replicas though, not cheap fibreglass crap screwed to the body of an MR2. :) You could if you wanted, save yourself a few bob and get yourself a replica made by Dutton....ya know, Sierra Pinto running gear etc! lol  http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C539243
  16. You'd get a LOT of stretch on a 10" wheel if you were running a 245. Have you test driven with the wheels on? Or just test driven? I have 245 on the front of mine, but my fronts are 8.5" wide. My rears are 9.5" and I'm running 275, but will replace with 285.
  17. Do yourself a favour and clean up ALL the harness contacts that go to sensors, injectors, coil packs, MAF and so on.
  18. Firstly, make damn sure those 10" wide wheels fit though! The rears you're likely have no problems providing the wheels are offset-friendly, but the fronts, that'll be a real squeeze and you'll likely have to do arch work, rolling, removal or modification of the liners etc. 265 on a 10" wheel is not an ideal fit either unless you're into all that horrible 'stretch' tyre look. What specs are the wheels first off?
  19. I do quite like Opel GTs, but not too sure I'd swap my Z for one and certainly not one in that colour! It's ginger ffs! lol :hurl: There is a nice blue one that goes to a lot of the VBOA rallies that I like. They are TINY though, about the same size as a MK1 Tigra. If I was to have something from the GM stables of Europe, other than a Lotus Carlton, it would be one of these. An Opel Monza GSE. Vauxhall had an early version of this called the 'Royale' - sounds a little cheesy, but so does most stuff from Vauxhall. I hate their 'VXR' branding, despite the cars with those labels actually being very good. As a marketing exercise, it's done them wonders, but I've never liked the branding of it. Anyway, the Monza GSE, I absolutely LOVE these and always wanted to buy one and stuff a Lotus Carlton engine into one or a period V8 GM unit, LT5 maybe with a blower on it.
  20. Nice work James! Just come back from Jimmer's and saw your transmission sat on the transmission jack. Into the paintshop soon isn't it?
  21. Happy birthday!!! :)
  22. No, not fire. I need you to check something out for me - I'll PM you! :)
