What the hell happened to that!? Doesn't look like it's been in a crash.....just looks like it's been hurled around with the grab hook.

Wheel Spacer help needed
Nope, no change to the camber since I had it set when the suspension was fitted about 7 years ago. I should really get the alignment done again, but the suspension is going to have some mild surgery in the new year, so I'll probably get it done then. Camber is quite close to factory. I don't really like visable negtive camber, just in the same way as I don't like stretched tyres.

Wheel Spacer help needed
The max you can push an 8.5" on the front is about a +20 effective, the rear at 9.5" with stock arches is about a +30/+40 effective. If you lightly roll the very top of the arch lip, you can get a +25/+30 effective on a 9.5" wheel. Also bear in mind tyre profiles and widths. Imagine that with your 265s at the rear, it might be a bit more forgiving than with wider tyres.

HID dimmer than halognes?
Not necessarily. As you stated above, the wavelengths are different. In this instance, the yellowish light that the halogens emit could potentially be more penetrating than the focused beam of bright light through contaminated refraction surfaces.

HID dimmer than halognes?
I wasn't really suggesting he would, but as you know, the bulb will seat in the correct position with the bulb further out. It was merely a comment on correct bulb type. I've got H3 in mine, but I'll go H3C eventually. I want to ditch my 6000k for 4300k.

Wheel Spacer help needed
What widths are your current wheels Andy? You could get a little more out of your current ones for sure! I'd like to think you could almost squeeze another 10mm. What I did with my rears as I felt I could get a little more out of them was to buy a dirt cheap set of universal spacers (4 x 5mm) and fit them all to one side to see how it looked, then when I knew, I'd buy the correct bolt-on hubcentric spacers. I managed to get mine totally flush and there's no rubbing at all. My rears are 9.5" wide @ +25 effective running a 275 30 19 tyre, my arch lip is lightly rolled at the very top, but nothing else. I want to get a 285 on it when these ones need replacing. Here's an old photo (car looks a little different here), but the stance is the same.

Electronic dash problem
Very nice Mario and welcome! I was in Rome this time last year. There can't be many Z32s in Italy in general! Your faulty speedo is likely what's causing your PAS to fail intermittently. You could try a Japanese set of dash clocks. I know over here we convert from Japanese KM to UK Miles. I am sure it'll work the other way around. It's likely that your speedo has a dry joint. If you're handy with the soldering iron, you can fix it. There's a how-2 on here somewhere. Potentially, having a correctly working dash could fix all your problems.

Are your arch lips rolled Andy? If so, you could get down to a +30, or even a +25 on the rear based on a width of 9.5" with a tyre spec of around a 275 30 profile. I'd say go for a 15mm hubcentric bolt-on for the rear. Try to avoid having longer studs, the bolt-on spacers are stronger and easier to fit. As for your fronts, you could get a 20mm spacer on that pushing it out to a +20, running a 235 or 245 35 profile. On that basis, I'd recommend either Eibach or H&R spacers which are the market leaders. You'll probably need to look for 350z fitment as 300zx fitment is limited. Essentially they have the same PCD and centre bore, so they fit correctly. Make sure your wheels have the correct spigot rings in also. Rears (15mm) : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15mm-5x114-3-66-1CB-Nissan-300ZX-350Z-Z32-Z33-Wheel-Spacers-/280972278029?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item416b40b90d ...these are the Eibach versions, but make sure they're the bolt-n spacers, not the ones for extended wheel studs, the information is a little spurious http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-3-5-4-06-EIBACH-15mm-PRO-KIT-WHEEL-SPACERS-KIT-S90-6-15-026-/190974990121?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item2c76ff1729 Fronts (20mm) : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Eibach-Wheel-Spacers-200SX-350Z-370Z-R33-R34-R35-Skyline-GT-R-GTR-/151481923304?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&hash=item234506b6e8

If yours is a Japanese spec, you should have H3C, H3 is UK spec.
-
HID dimmer than halognes?
That could be more down to the spectrum of light that's being blocked by contamination rather than the HID bulbs themselves. At a guess, the light range that the HID emits is far more narrow and focused than a regular halogen bulb giving the illusion that the HID bulb emits less light.

4300k is perfect. As above, there are 2 parts that need cleaning, firstly the inside of the main light glass and also both sides of the projector. Ideally you need to split the headlight to do it properly. It's actually not too bad to do, but if you don't, then AndrewG has a method for cleaning the back face of the projector which should dramatically increase light output. I'd personally split the light and do all refraction surfaces.

Tour of a 300zx
Richard Smith isn't too far away from you in Great Missenden. He's got a good example of a pretty much stock UK 300zx and would be a good one for you to go and visit. Gio isn't too far away from you either. Both of whom helped me out when I was hunting for a Z32 10 years ago.

Always a shame to see this.....

No, they were quite forthcoming with information. They still want to make more stuff. They're nearly finished with their wide arch kit, there'll be a few options with that. They had to get the Supra products out before they could finish the Z32 parts. They're also working on GT-R products too.

Yeah, I spoke to Victor and Efrain quite a lot actually. They're currently designing 2 new front bumpers, they said 'we know you don't like our front bumper, so we designed some others'. I just laughed. The new ones will be quite different in design. One will be a reworked 99-spec style bumper and the other will be something completely different again. I am not too sure whether they'll release both, but certainly they're going to bring something new along. Early part of next year that/they will be complete. They also told me they were moving into the Supra market and I think I saw some of their stuff pop up on my newsfeed for it. It does look good.
