  1. Glad you're going to wave goodbye to your pink nuts!
  2. Hahaha! No Christmas tree! Can't be arsed; the one card that my parents send me is my 'decoration' I love Christmas Day itself, but the rest of it is all nonsense! I don't care for the Christmas period one bit until it's actually Christmas Day itself. I have a bit of OCD with 'clean and tidy' and I couldn't cope with the clutter of a tree, decorations and other Christmas tat.
  3. ....I just also noticed it's on a 'Q' plate (further detail in the Q&A section).....that's more of a turnoff than the rear lights, rear spoiler and front bumper. What a shame! It's instantly worth less and potentially unsalable with a 'Q' plate at any sort of value that the seller would be expecting.
  4. It would be easier to price without that horrendous spoiler and less-than-appealing front bumper. Some of the red detail (interior and exterior) is hard to look at too. The cheap ebay rear lights are a turnoff, but can be easily replaced. Difficult to say at any rate. The general Z public probably wouldn't pay anymore than £10k for it irrespective of its performance, although it really is worth more. I'd hate to see it on the drift circuit as it would get absolutely trashed and drifting bores me to tears. It does look incredibly clean and with a few choice changes would be be a wonderful car (with the clutch changed). There's no spec sheet There's no dyno sheet No receipts (even though they'll be in AUD, it is 'some' evidence of a transaction). With the poor grammar too, it's not a great ad for what could be a high spec pristine car.
  5. Yeah it is. Aiming for a near-perfect interior. Got some even better front seats too, one of which is going to have some donor panels and new foam inserts.
  6. Removed this immaculate 96 dash from a breaker at Jimmer's. Surprisingly, this is one of the easiest jobs to do on a Z! Took me about half an hour! My dash is fairly good, but this one is near perfect.
  7. Bloody ugly too. I like fast fords, but this does absolutely nothing at all. Slight power increase and a tacky satin wrap does not a lovely car maketh.
  8. This is true! It only ever gets a light dusting, I give it a quick wipe down after use - it has about 5 coats of Zymöl on it too!
  9. Mine's pretty good for a single integral garage. It will be tiled with better lighting and a doorway fitted go the left plus a new electric garage door. If I park close enough to one side, I can open the drivers door fully. Park in the middle and I have enough room to work on it and dry-wash it.
  10. Lovely looking car Barry! I remember talking to you at length last year at the NEC! Good to see you've gotten the car back on the road and lovely to see a prime example. Who ended up doing the recommissioning on it?
  11. Awesome stuff Dan!
  12. Think you're missing the point of what I want to achieve here. I want to push the stock block (and I have a completely stock block/heads and turbos) without removing the engine for a full rework. If I ever do have the engine pulled, I won't be fitting GT525/535s. I'll be digging deep for Power Enterprise PE1420 turbos. Widely heralded as the most responsive turbos for the Z32. I've driven a few cars with these turbos fitted and when set up correctly, they are a pure delight. I'm not necessarily chasing a top figure and a stupid punch, but something tame around 400hp should give me a fast and responsive street car. I want driveability and responsiveness. The stock turbos are actually good for response up to a limit and I'd like to explore that limit freeing up airflow and taking out some of the restrictions Nissan placed on the unit to bring it closer to the stupid 'gentleman's agreement'. 555s, Nistune, larger intake hardwear, JWT mild cams and possibly a Selin and if I really have the patience, some 240sx/Stanza throttle housings - should give me something very exciting for a stock-ish road car.
  13. My tuning advice on stock engines comes from Los Angeles, not from Leicester.
  14. Yeah, I have Z1 intercoolers. I think (know) the stock engine was over engineered to a certain potential and I just want to unlock what was the restrictions given to it. I'll draw the line at MSP fannymoulds unless I change the turbos at a later point.
  15. Same, happy to be available should you need me however I can't be on the stand on the Friday, but can be Saturday and Sunday. Can deliver the car on the Thursday. New job commitments.
  16. No, they can take a little more. 18/19psi and they run out of puff. The stock engine's most limiting factors are their breathing and low flow injectors. Nissan de-tuned these engines quite a bit by restricting airflow and fuel.
  17. I've been wanting more power for a while. There are 2 different profiles that JWT do, I'd get the mild versions if I were to go that route.
  18. I just want more damn power! Having been fortunate enough to drive some HUGE hp Z32s (850hp being the most powerful), I've decided I just can't handle 1bar and most have more! I'm going to be pushing the stock motor a little, but I'm confident it can take it if done correctly. Jimmer rebuilt me a fine engine a decade ago and I'm keen to see how drivable it will be with the correct modifications. I've gotten to the point where everything else has been upgraded except the clutch, so with the exhaust, Brembo brakes, single piece prop and the general amazing health of the engine and turbos, it's time to do something a little more. The plan is 555 injectors, Profec B, 2.5" intake, possibly a Selin Translator and a MUCH better clutch and a full day rolling road tune with a Nistune board I hope to get close 400hp although I'm not chasing power figures, drivability is first and foremost so response and turbo spool are what I'm more interested in. Whilst that won't seem like much to sum, I am keen to retain drivability and see how good the stock block and heads actually are. Have also considered the JWT cams and I think I can get a good reliable figure. A good map is key and I've found someone good to do it. I will most likely need RLTC just for safety. If it doesn't last, Power Enterprise turbos and some better pistons will be bought.
  19. Had my Z1 FUCAs fitted for a few years and about 5,000 miles and no problems whatsoever. :)
  20. My search was based on RHD European models....so I find it odd that it should be for late model cars or even LHD models? Thanks for the info though chaps.
  21. It's the sound those cars make that's more impressive than anything else. Just glorious. It's a better looking car than the SLS too IMO.
  22. Oh I see, interesting. Probably unnecessary, but it's an over engineered car, so I'm glad I got it !
  23. Salt, lots of it gets thrown down in winter, even on days where there's barely a frost. It's quite a damp climate too and the fact that not everyone, unlike the US have the luxury of a garage. Many homes here do not have one. First and foremost decision for me when buying a house 'does it have a garage'....a single one at that! I'd love to have a 2 car garage though!
  24. I've had it all out and can't see that there was ever one in mine. Mine has been taken apart before though as I think there was something aftermarket screwed to the side, so maybe it was removed when that was fitted.
