  1. It's made of welded steel, can't imagine that baking temperatures would affect it. I'm interested in getting this done too as the stock painted finish is about as durable as single-ply toilet paper. Black of course for me, with a new OEM bolts and a new drainage bolt.
  2. Get your money back. /fin
  3. 2017 - 2012 = 5 ;)
  4. I'm running Brembo Sport pads on my GTR Brembos (fronts essentially the same as the 350z). They've seen some hard abuse through the canyon roads in southern France - they're very good, but really noisy.
  5. My PT does Ironman - looks like hell to me! lol
  6. You drive all the way to Dover when you live 15 mins from Poole? **** that!! lol! Taken my Z on the cross channel ferry 6 times now and never had any issues with it. Brittany Ferries always put me on the lower decks anyway as it's so low, so there's always plenty of room. I sit in it upon arrival anyway and wait until the car deck has emptied of people before going up after sailing. I detest the drive to Dover and even more, the dreary Nord pas de Calais area. The route would always spit me out in the wrong part of the country anyway. I've actually never had any issues on any cross channel ferries and I've probably crossed about 40 times. (I go to France 2-3 times a year and have been for eons).
  7. how about the Cotswolds?
  8. It's not this weekend though..... lol
  9. That would be awesome Scott!!
  10. Hi all, I know this is a bit short notice, but hoping to get a number of you along for a meet at the Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset on the 11th. A friend of mine who owns a Z is driving over for the weekend, in fact he's a guy whom Joel, Andrew and myself met on our French Road trip last year. I'd like to propose a little surprise gathering as I have said I'll take him to the Haynes museum and it would be great to get some Z32s there too! He currently owns a 350Z but it searching for a good Z32 in France and I'd love to surprise him with a few examples from over the pond!! Would suggest meeting around midday on the Sunday for a car meet and some time to view the museum. Appreciate this is a little short-notice, but even if one or two showed up, it would be great! Hoping Andrew and Joel will come at least! :-)
  11. Did 350 miles in it today through France, perfect weather!
  12. I'm currently on the ferry out of Portsmouth, taking the overnight crossing to Caen with my Z. Nice drive to the Picardy region of France and to Chantilly. Weather is good and tomorrow it will be t-top weather.
  13. Tweed has NEVER been an 'option'.
  14. No it's not, but it's just as ugly. That paint job is hilarious!
  15. Baby-poo brown interior bits.....urgh. The rest does look clean and very tidy though. His colour co-ordination however is enough to make even the most hard-nosed of northerners vomit. ;)
  16. My T-tops haven't been on my Z since Coventry! :) I can't be bothered to put them back on as I park it in the garage anyway.
  17. UK cars have rustproofing - exactly the same as JDM. Not having wheel arch liners is not a factor either. In fact fitting them to a Z would retain moisture and not allow it to breath. Rust onZ32s is caused by trapped moisture from the inside due to the design. If you start covering the inner arches, they won't breathe. Plastic arch liners are fitted to newer cars which have a different construction and are generally there to hide sound deadening or cover up complex box sections or components.
  18. Special treatment - I don't keep refined sugar in the house - 'orrible stuff!
  19. Had the tracking checked and adjusted today ahead of a little road trip to the Picardy region of France next week. Chap that did my car couldn't believe the condition of the underside. He told me it was like working on a new car. Everything span off nicely, no need for any WD40, let alone heat. Told me 12 month old cars are harder to do and sometimes take some effort to get the steering arms freed up!
  20. Indeed! Sold it and bought that silver Airfix kit on wheels. Yellow one was lovely.
  21. Same - I never got the hype over that car. Way too much stuff glued to it for it to look nice.
  22. I think the biggest shame was you selling your yellow one!!!!
  23. Hope you've reported it. New windscreens fitted from National Windscreens are £160 unless you have glass cover.
