brake problem
I removed all my mates heavy duty paint from his garage floor by dripping fluid on it!! Its pretty corrosive stuff. I'd take the brake calipers off and have a proper look as it could be dangerous. Its a pretty easy job to get the caliper off. Alternatively you get get it on a ramp/over a pit at work and have a look? If its been cross threaded it was probably when the calipers were replaced. The screws on the calipers are a bit of a nightmare to undo when you change them. Maybe due to the heat that they get put under, tends to weld them shut? It would be a good time to replace them with braided stainless hoses.

how do u quench ur Zed
Mines had bp 97ron in once in the time I've had it, which was at the Jtuner thrash and I added millers octane boost to it. Other than that its without fail had optimax of tesco 99ron. Not worth the risk with high tuned cars IMO. :)

Fast and Furious Tokyo drift clip

Nurburgring update
Wow ,eventful days then! How did your cars do on the track? and how hard is the track to drive for someone who hasn't seen it before? I'm really up for doing a trip now. Dave

Destination Nurburgring
Sorry mate, didn't see your post before. I'm going to look into the costs. Think I'd probably do it myself and camp out. I know the last owner of my rx7 used to budget £600 for petrol! I'm deffo into doing it though, just trying to decide whether it'll be this year or next year. Depends on money I suppose. I really want to start driving the car properly and doing track days and so on. Get good at driving. Dave

DIY 60k has started..
lmao at coldeyes! wouldn't speak to soon. I'm sure there've been a few people who have took there engines apart and found that the last person had done that! Clarkey - The trick isn't getting it apart mate, thats quite easy (if all else fails use a big mallet and a big iron bar). The trick is finding somewhere to put all the bits back again! Especially all the extra useless clamps and brackets that nissan put on there! :)

Apexi Air Induction Kit

smoking
Sounds more like the seals seeing as its after you decatted it. Normally its more likely to be the pcv valves if its only at idle. You may be lucky though? Its quite easy to test the PCV valves: just run the engine with the tube off of the valve and put your finger to it. If they are working it will create a vacuum and suck on your finger (oh-err). Dave

Japshow, Santa pod, 24/25th June
I'm going to be there in the Rx7 on Sunday I reckon. I'll come over and say hello. I was hoping the missus would come in the zed as well but its not looking likely at the mo. Dave

350Z or S15 Sylvia?
Yeah, think I'd have to go for the s15 as well, never drove either though so not really sure. I actually quite like the way the 350 looks on that F&F3 clip. Dave
