biodiesel
My mate ran a landy on almost completely veg oil. He had a small petrol tank to start the car on and then switched straight to oil. It ran absolutely fine for years. Another guy had an almost brand new vauxhaul something or other and he always put 50-50 diesel and veg oil and it ran perfect. No loss of power or anything. Just be aware of tax laws ,etc in case you get caught. The cheapest thing is to distill old chip shop oil, but it looks a bit suspicious when you've got big vats of smelly oil in your garden shed! Jtuner Magazine thrash invite
Cheers for the words matey! glad you guys had a goodun as well. What was the name of the guy who was a master detailer? I need to find out the stuff he was using as I've forgot. He gave me his username but I forgot that as well! :( He did some magic with his potions! I've signed up to your forum but it doesn't work yet. Dave (the one who got a little excited trying trying to drift at the end!)

sick of people running our country down
I think we have things pretty easy myself :) My grandad used to walk 20miles at the start of the week to a building job, work all week sleeping on a blanket and then walk 20 miles back again! Then he fought a bloody world war! We've got more spare money to spend on what ever we want than any generation before us. Its an unfortunate fact but the country is in the financially strong postion it is in due to the wars and political battles that it has fought over the years. Just a shame there's no bloody space here anymore. I prefer the look of New Zealand due to the lifestyle and the weather and open space but I also very much appreciate the opportunities that I have here if I put the work in. Thats my view anyhow. Reg plate laws...(how stupid)
I got told how my plate was illegal by a guy in an MOT station I borrowed a spanner off whilst changing my alloy valves yesterday. Won't be using that MOT place then!

j tuner thrash ???
Hello you guys! The day went great. There were some good times. My launch times were pretty rubbish (in the 6 secs, I was bogging down) as I've never tried from standstill before but I got the highest top speed ( 159ish mph). Some of the other TT guys (sorry not sure who) got in the 5 secs so thats good. Slick pete got some great times in his NA, faster than most of the TTs! We had no casualties so that was good. The Mitsi lads had a blown engine (bottom end prob) and a snapped drive splitter (if thats the name). They got better times than us though, as they had some 500/600bhp cars there I think. Its a shame we never had any experienced TT drag guys I suppose. The guys from Jtuner were top blokes and put on a BBQ and took loads of phots. I can't wait to see the article, it should be a goodun. We had a bit of drift/thrash (!) practice at the end which I got a little enthusiastic about as I was enjoying myself so much. Actually managed to get some control on it by the end! It took about 50miles of motorway for my clutch to cool down and my tyres to lose the squishy feeling from all the hot bubbles! Dave

FAO all Jtuner thrashers
Wow, bought two new rear tyres today as I knew mine were getting low and also because twice I've suffered from a flattie on the passenger side rear so wanted to change the valve. Got the tyre taken off and the whole side wall was trashed inside, tyre full of black powder. I reckon the sidewall got trashed when it went flat. Good job I changed it for tomorrow;wouldn't want a blow out at one hundred and quite a lot! :mac1:

first decent road kill in a while
The owner of the 550BHP zed that I looked at at the weekend said if he saw a vx220 he'd buy it tomorrow. He said that no matter how much money he pumped into the zed the vx220 would always corner and drive faster. Bit of an eye-opener really as I'd just got out of the most impressive zed I've ever seen and then the owner prefers a little go-kart of a zx220! I suppose its horses for courses though really, completely different type of car so no comparison. Dave

How to go fast!
Right here's one for all you Santa Pod freaks, in preperation for the JTuner thrash: What are the best ways to launch and should I do anything with the car eg tyre pressure etc? I've never done a proper standing still lauch before. I tried a couple the other day on a quiet stretch of private (!) carriageway and although it felt great and fast I was wheel spinning in the first three gears so it was probably a poor time. What is the technique? is it best to go easy at the beginning or what?? Dave  Ps - felt bloody awesome though!

FAO all Jtuner thrashers
Going to get some fresh rear tyres tomorrow I reckon. Wouldn't want a blow out at top speed :( . Gonna be a great day I reckon, can't wait: a free track day!!

Better brakes
£500-£800ish for r34 or 350z calipers. R33 are older hence cheaper. Remember you've also got to buy the discs and pads (even if you get ones that are 'ok' chances are they will need replacing very soon after as otherwise the original owner wouldn't be considering upgrading?) discs and pads are about the same again if you do all round, but obviously cheaper if you leave your 300 rears setup (which is same size anyhow).

Any 3D Studio Max experts on here?
I've got what looks like a good 3dstudio max book if you want it? I'm not going to use it. Also got the software somewhere but not sure if I'll be able to find it! Dave

Too hot to sleep!
Bloody hot. Taken the duvet off the bed and just using a sheet and thin blanket.

Anyone mind sharing their knowledge?
Agree with Steve. If you are definately getting the other mods (would recommend ya5eens e-01 boost controller by the way as they are the best out there, and avoid boost jets) then you should def think about brake systems. Its expensive but they are the 300zxTT weak point. Skyline ones are an easy upgrade r33 are straight fit and r34 just require drilling out the caliper mounting holes.
