If it was warped discs he would feel it as it slow down. The most likely cause is tension rod bushes as already mentioned. Can't remember the cost off hand. I bought some second hand ones for £35 (think I still have them as I sold the car and hadn't used them), new are a little bit more. Other possibilities is the steering rack bushes but not so likely.

Brilliant lol! My missus uncle spent silly money (60k?) on a new XK had it for a couple of years paying back a huge monthly loan amount. When he sold it back to the garage recently he got 5k back!!!

I rate beemers, my 525 tourer almost has 220,000 miles on the clock and still pulls like a train. I've not heard all that much about the 850 though? They don't look cheap to maintain, worse than a zed?? I guess you get a decent interior which would be a nice change to Jap cars! Are they all tiptronic automatics? I can't see anything else on autotrader.

Thieving f*cks stole my car trailor last year. Absolutely feck all I could do about it as well. I only had the trailor for about 4mths. £1200 down the f*ckin drain. I was living on a livery stables and they would regularly check the place out. Then when we moved out the trailor was still there (in a locked compound with trailor hitch etc) and they just came in and had it away. I had so much going on at the time I didn't even want to think about it,but it makes me so mad now.

Wow, I wish I: 1) Could ride a bike with anything vaguely like skill 2) Wouldn't kill myself in about 5mins Makes so much more sense than cars. Fast as fook for brandnew ,the fastest beast on the road and low maintainance costs.

Way I look at it, is 4 or 5k really worth selling it for? how badly do you need it. We've been really strapped for the last 4 or so months and I've just stashed the car in the garage until I can sort what needs doing. I don't expect to have any money for at least another few months. Stupidly I didn't stop the insurance as I've always got the hope in the back of my mind that I'll get it out but if I did it would save some more money each month. Maybe that would sort you out? I don't think you gain much by getting rid , but it definately helps if you take it off the road so you arn't chucking money into it all the time.

We lived on a livery stables for 6mths last year. Torturous...... :hyper: There were a few whos horse could barely carry them but the majority of the cases were horse rider=fit arse+ wears Jodphers ! its a hard life.

Lol, I had someone say that about the Rx7 when I first got it. I told them its done 0-60 in under 4 seconds, easily tops 170mph and more, and has a spritely 535bhp and he hasn't mentioned it since. The same guy said something similar about my old Zed so I showed him the Jtuner feature :-) , he never learns!

Apart from the fact that they are much more reliable and the engines last much longer with less problems....and a much longer racing heritage than nissan... :rant: :hyper: Sorry don't mean to be an ar*e! I love the Zed and quite fancy another but there arn't many (non-biased) people who would put a Zed in the same category as many Porshes, apart from the obvious competition such as the 944 etc that the zed was considered a better car than anyhow, and on average they go for a similar price to a good Zed. I guess people think a Porshe owner is more likely to have looked after the car than a Zed owner. Looking at many of the Zeds that are around lately I tend to think its true. Its hard to warrant putting money into an old nissan whereas a Porshe will hold its value better.

Here, Here. People are way to quick to hide behind tired bull: 'this government is sh*te, that one is, blah blah' Take a step back and look at the world now and how it was not so long ago. We have one of the best levels of living in the world. People here don't know what it is to have to SURVIVE. We've got a cushty enough lifestyle here to actually make a point of using the worlds resources more efficiently. We need to show an example to other rising countries whos people are still too poor to give a sh*te about the enviroment.

Fastredz what colour is the smoke bud?? blue means the oil's getting burnt in the cylinders, & grey means it's just getting heated up through the exhaust possibly tubs!! can anyone confirm this?? Great posts. I didn't know that, thanks for the info.

Really great to see some people doing some proper driving in a Zed. Can't believe someone has been chased away from the forum for being one of the tiny minority who actually take the chance and drive a zed like a performance car instead of showing its shine on the driveway.

Pmsl, both of those made me chuckle! nice one. Oh and I can tell you from experience that the 'city boy' description in the first one is a pretty good description of a US Marine! They can lift 150kg (or whatever a big lump of metal weighs) whilst sitting on a bench but stick a 100lb bergen on their back and yomp them across the hills and they don't last 5 minutes. Must admit though they would have lasted 5mins longer if they hadn't started yomping with their bomber jackets on because they couldn't handle the cold weather in the morning!! dehydration here we come...
