  1. bit of a thread hijack (maybe stick it in the other section?) Artztogo, but have you bled your brakes as that makes a huge difference. You may have air/water in the tubes.
  2. All modded and sports cars are expensive to run whether they go wrong or not. I had the car that rodders has now and never had a problem other than a £100 Maf going. It still cost several thousand pounds to keep over the year I had it. £1200ish for two sets of tyres £1500 for the skyline brake calipers, discs and pads (didn't need to do this mind) plus £35 a time for oil changes For me the car was perfect, now Rodders has it and he's had a nightmare and hasn't really drove it. The Zed I had before that for 4k was over boosting and blew 3 pistons, rebuilding the engine myself cost probably £1500. It blew again 3mths later and I sold it on ebay for around a grand. I now have a mazda Rx7 which is very highly tuned, and a massive overdraft and loan! My recommendation is don't go near these type of cars unless you have access to at least £1000 for repairs and also expect to lose several thousand pounds as they are a useless investment and you'll end up skint unless you earn plenty. That didn't stop me though haha and I don't regret it, but wish my bank account looked better.
  3. Thanks guys, good replies. I've only got a many year old laptop (32mb graphics card)so it needs to be one of the older games. Its such a shame farcry isn't team orientated as I love the enviroments on that. Is anyone still playing operation flashpoint multiplayer? I might try to find some. Failing that it looks like counter strike might re-appear yet again. Gears of War is no good as I don't have a console, I prefer the faster action of having a mouse and keyboard. It winds me up too much having everything slowed down to deal with the controllers.
  4. I've not played any games for nearly a year due to studying and working, and fancy getting something new to chill out. One of my favourite all time games is operation flashpoint, a tactical battlefield/shooter. I like games that are shooters but where you have to use tactics as well, you know: run forward, hide behind some cover and cover the next man running forward, another sniper covering from somewhere else, all that sort of stuff. Counter strike was great also because of the same sort of thing, although I do like something a bit more sophisticated. I don't like the everyone for themselves blasters where lots of people are just running around killing each other. I find them a bit boring, I'd rather be mission based co-op play or something like that. What is the best current multiplayer game along these lines? I've heard battlefield (2142 is it?) is good? What I saw of it didn't look very team based though, maybe thats just because it wasn't an organised clan though? it also seemed a bit unfocused in that everyone was running around a bit blind and not working together.
  5. Non Zed, but thought the Pod lot would like this :) http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31004
  6. They turn up most summers in Cornwall when I'm surfing. They surf along in the wave next to you, my mate got knocked off of his board by one (thats what he says anyhow lol)! We did a parachute drop into newquay a year or two back and landed in a pod of dolphins as well. It was awesome as they were swimming around us when we landed in the water and then swam next to the fast boats that picked us up :-)
  7. The guy I need nearly bought a 550bhp fully tracked up zed from said the vx220 was the car he most wanted and would swap it for the zed anyday as even though he'd spent £30-40k on the zed it would never go as fast round the twisties as a vx220.
  8. They recommended he goes to a working enviroment, he's not aloud to got to the ex-handlers family who have campaigned to keep him. At least he isn't being put down, and will be working and staying healthy now.
  9. Many people on here have had that happen, FunkySi is another. There's very few reasons why anyone would have a good engine that was for sale, they've usually been taken out becuase they are knackered and the owner has given up and got a new one. IMO its not worth fitting a second hand engine unless you have it rebuilt properly. You're driving a £35,000 plus car at the end of the day, they bite the wallet hard.
  10. I don't think its the tension rods, I bought some when I had the car but didn't fit them because the existing ones looked fine. The whole brake setup is also brand new (gtr calipers, dba golds, porterfield pads), and its not this as the wobble is intermittant and you don't feel it as you slow down. I thought it was either the shocks or the steering rack bush. The shocks felt like they needed replacing to me, they were getting a little bouncy. Sent you a pm Mark, you can have the ones I've got here if you really want to try, but I don't think there's anything wrong with the ones that are on there.
  11. he's a happy chappy eh? needs a kick in the head to relax him a bit I think?!
  12. I think Acura is the yank name? I really like them as well...one day lol!
  13. Are you sure thats your finger PK?
  14. If they live in the right area they will get sent on a 'speed awareness' type course (only £60 :) ). I got sent on one for doing 38mph in a 30mph zone (I knew the camera was there and thought it was a 40 zone :slap: ). It was actually a pretty good course considering, made me open my eyes and get some advanced driving instruction. The actual offence I got it for was a bit of a joke (dual carraige-way midnight, but in center of Plymouth so was a 30mph), but I probably deserved it through Karma at all the other speeding! Anyhow there's a time and a place for it I reckon, not that everyone will agree obviously.
  15. Looks almost the same with black cladding to me old bean?!
  16. Here's some phots of the new skyline at the Ring:
  17. Good post PK and nice phots as well.I can't believe that throttle spring is like that?! How much did the last owner pay for the service and what did it supposedly include? What was done when the engine or gearbox was removed? I take it thats why a bolt is missing there? You're going to have to take me for a cruise sometime :)
  18. Yep, check out the Jtuner brunters thrash for a good example. The old grumpy fart is quicker off the line than half of the TTs! He's never seen faster than 130mph though so you gotta give him some slack :)
  19. Emailed you mate.
  20. B*gger they lied, it actually took 17.5mins then..................
