  1. :hurl: :hurl: Nope not on a Zed, just doesnt seem functional. I like them on the drift s13's and s14's though. Dave edit - wrote before that blue one got put on. Hmm actually think that looks ok but still wouldn't do it to mine.
  2. It's a bit of a hobby in the Royal Marines to phone random people up and send them a c**k message and put the phone down (I know you can grow up or you can join the forces!).Two of the lads in work were sending large c**k messages over the email system. Today one of them added the 'send to all' address by mistake. We phoned him to congratulate him and he was already heels together in front of the adjatent getting a good debriefing! Doh. He'd sent the message to all the staff officers, the commanding officer, the regimental sgt major, everyone. :xxx:   :xxx: Living legend.
  3. Add all these to my list Ha. Mind you I should be a little forgiving as I expect everyone else to put up with my lead weighted foot!
  4. City 4*4 drivers. 'I'm ok cause I'm in a tank, don't care about anyone else'. Did you see the top gear thing when they tested the stopping distances. Took a range rover almost double the distance to stop as a car. F**king fools, they're safe in their shell but everyone else is screwed! What on earth do you need a 4*4 in the city for? I'd love to have one for towing, offroad and all that, but in the middle of London FFS?
  5. Looks awesome mate, compliments to the photog as well. Seriously impressive looking car, amazing phots. Can't wait to see it. Dave
  6. Love the sound of the engine
  7. Your not a Para Sgt C?
  8. He's not the messiah... He's a very naughty boy!
  9. Mostly budweiser I reckon!!! lol
  10. I think it's great! Everyone thinks I'm crazy down in Hayle as hardly anyone else would do it. I spoke to my step dad about it and he said that 30yrs ago they used to do it every year as a big competition. I also swam round burgh island from challaborough which is near plymouth. When I got out an old boy form Bristol came down for a chat. He's part of a club that swims a couple of miles in the severn channel every week. Now you would think that these are young people into their fitness, etc but the majority are actually OAP's! One of them is 89 yrs old!! They also swim between the Scilly Isles every year. I was gobsmacked. How many young people do you know who would be fit enough to do something like that? let alone an 89 yr old. Says something about the fitness of the country and all that. Dave ps wasnt swimming at night, just it was dark when I got out
  11. My missus's dad had an e-type that he restored. He said it was an utter nightmare handling wise.Dave
  12. I grew up in SW Cornwall. I'd move back if there were any jobs there. Most people in my home town do seasonal work in the summer for pittance and then go on surf hols in the winter to somewhere hot. Idylic for a while but then you get bored of living like sh*t, I left ten years ago. It would be hard work keeping a Zed on the road! Once I'm out of the Marines I'll be full time in gloucestershire so I'm close to Bristol for the jobs. Still close enough to N.Devon and S.Wales for a surf trip. Only times I've been in Glastonbury is for the festival. Not been recently though as the fence is too fortified these days!
  13. Wasn't able to lift it so couldn't weigh it properly  Can't remember which one, the big new one I think. Swam from devils point to the far side of the Hoe and back. Did from Hayle to St Ives in cornwall last month. Don't do it competitively, just keeps me fit when there's no surf! :hyper: :hyper:
  14. lmfao!!!
  15. ....just been for a three and a half mile swim in the sea! Swam across the plymouth bay, nearly got run over by a 15,000 tonne ferry on the way back. Nice though, could see people drinking in the pubs and pointing out to sea wondering why the f*ck some one was swimming half a mile out in the bay as it was getting dark. Me reckless....nah. The currents round the headlands were a bit dodgey though ,could only just swim against them. Bit nervy feeling, like when you know you're going a little too fast round that corner in the Zed. I want to take a waterproof camera next time as you see views that no one would ever see normally. Dave
  16. I managed to rebuild my last Zed's engine with practically no prior experience of cars. Just did a massive amount of homework at the same time. Had a few problems (Having to DRILL out a head bolt for instance!!) but it started up first time and I learnt a load in the process. As for reliability, that zed's engine was a nightmare as i suspect it had been abused in the past culminating in my rebuild (which went again 3mths later, probably because I didnt replace the shells). On the upside though my new one has been completely faultless. I've only had it a month but have done several thousand miles up and down the country, often pushing it hard. Hardly even runs warm when giving large for extended time on those quiet nightime motorway drives! Got it off another member here. In summary: buy one, you'll be addicted from the moment you drive it. Jeff is completely reliable and will get the best he can find for you. Put some cash aside for emergencies and if you don't need it you can spend it on nice new tyres or something.
  17. Wow ,check out the engine bay on the IMSA car. Yeah....looks just like my Zed, honest! Dave
  18. Look at that bloody great tub!!
  19. Seen some very nice ones on newera's import site. They're pricey but absolute top quality. Look like awesome cars, lots of them on the drifting sites. Dave ps Don't remember ever seeing a convertable mind?
  20. Need an extra server to host your signature animation dunk!! Lol Dave
  21. Cheers mate. Will look at that first thing tomorrow. Sounds very likely as they worked again and then stopped the next day. Dave
  22. Here, here black magic. Been reading the same thing in my big book of turbo charged cars (forced induction performance tuning by graham bell). Interesting if you're a bit of a geek like me! How much difference it makes at 'normal' speeds I don't know but worth sticking back on I reckon. You want lower pressure behind the radiator in order to 'pull' air through the radiator and intercoolers. Without the undertray air would be coming up behind the radiator from the road and therefore hindering the flow.....probably! Dave
  23. Got an a-pillar fitted last week, very pleased with it. Easy to see while driving. I'll post some phots tomorrow if you want. Dave
