Spent all afternoon polishing my Zed . Went down to the local maxpower car park and showed them what a real car looked like! The pictures don't really do it justice but check out the chavs looking in one of the phots. My mate has taken some photos with his super fandabby dozy, you can't bend it, zoom a lot, luminous camera! Will post them when they get developed. Hi, Had an unusual thing happened a couple of times, just wondered if anyone had any ideas. When accelerating fairly hard the car got to about 5500 revs ish and then some kind of limiting came on, a bit like the rev limiter when you go to high. The car jerked when this happened and the boost seemed to drop off, then everything was fine again. I am running an e-01 boost controller and afc ,maybe these are kicking in with some kind of safety mechanism? Its only happened twice and the car was fine for the rest of the long drives. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas? I've got an hks induction that isnt really protected from the rain but it wasn't raining on one of those occasions. Definately try to get one off a member mate, probably would have had some of the inevitable work done on it. Also you can check all the history on the forum. I bought my last one privately for 4k a year ago and spent 2k on it, I've just sold it on ebay for £1300 as the engine has gone and I havnt got the facilities or motavation to pump more money into it even though otherwise it was a very smart car (Was going to pay for a recon engine but got a very nice new one off a member instead!). Hopefully the new owner who is in the trade will get it running again and become a member. After 60-70k things such as the turbos, gearbox, and other bits are all possible problem areas. Dave

Was speaking to an English bloke on Elephant.co.uk for insuring my new zed. They'd lost my quote that I'd saved on the system. He said he'd mark the account and put me through to sales to get temporary cover and then get back to me the next day. He put me through to an Indian call center who didnt have a clue what I was on about and kept reading from prepared lines, took me 30mins to get a months temp cover. Nobody called me the next day so I called them and told them the account was marked with details, it wasn't and the bloke had only given me his first name. So....I went through the process of explaining again. The guy was most helpful and said he would get straight onto the it blokes re the lost quote and phone me straight back..........that was a week ago....f**********************ck!!!

Just sold my Zed on ebay, bidding went to £1310 at the last second. Cancelled a bid just before as well, bidder wouldn't answer my messages. Hopefully it'll all go smoothly, buyer coming down from Birmingham. Feel very emotional! :cry: put a lot of work into her, but havn't got facilities or money to pump any more into her. Hopefully the buyer will put a new engine in and she'll be reborn as the rest of the car is in good nick and polishes up well. Apologies to those on here who were bidding, needed to recoup whatever I could as bought it for 4k and spent 2k on gearbox and engine rebuild. They offerred me 3 points (already got 3), a £60 fine, oh and another £55 fine from dvla as I was on the way to renew tax that had ran out a few days before. Decided to take the offer....................
