Rev limiting at gradually lowering speed
Hi all, Anyone got any ideas:- I met someone down the road from my parents over the weekend with a nice silver TT. He has had a problem with rev/speed limiting coming on. It started some time ago at about 130mph and has gradually dropped down and is now coming on well under 100. He has had it de-restricted and thinks it might be something to do with this. Cheers Dave ps told him to get on the forum, so maybe we'll here from him.

z32 single turbo coversion??
Hell, reminds me of homer simpson choosing the biggest donut he can find! Has anyone drove one modded like that? My big book of forced induction tuning by A Graham Bell says bigger is not always better. Surely that prehistoric ammonite isn't going to be practically drivable? not that I understand 50% of what Mr Bell is writing about but still. The Z32 engine bay doesn't exactly lend itself to custom piping either. I'll be interested in how it's done. I had enough trouble getting the standard piping in and out.

can anyone give me some advice?
I'd massively recommend buying on the forum here mate. I've seen the other side and it's not pretty! Looked at loads before finding a good one, which still had engine problems and was off the road more than on it. Then I got one from here recently and it's a completely different beast. Remember that the average Zed has done over 70k, which is the time when it needs cam belt changing, turbos might be on the way (esp if they've been abused), gearbox ,etc. Most forum members have dealt with these things in advance.

screamin
when you top the rad up remember to unscrew the bleed screw on the other side of the rediator most of the way (fill at the radiator, not the overflow), and run the engine with the eng-con on until the coolant starts to bubble out the bleed screw. Then do it up. This will get the water into the system and also bleed the air.

I've got a turbo diesel escort estate for those practical drives (long distance up the line, surfing, etc) does prob 40mpg cheap to run and insure and very reliable even when you drive it at top speed for 5 yrs up and down the country!, there's loads of similar options.
