  1. Mapping is generally done to however your specific car is set up. I guess a standard chipped ecu would have a generic mapping for the car that ups the power. The superchip ones have a rep for running lean (results in det, buggared engine). I'd strongly advise avoiding boost jets if you can help it and going for a boost controller, much safer as even with aftermarket boost gauges to get a good measure of the boost, jets are susceptible to boost spikes and again running lean. My last Zed died as a result of boost jets and poor boost measurement. Dave
  2. Should get that sorted, it'll be more hassel if you go dry and have to bleed the brakes and all that malarky. Get some photos of it on. Have you got the workshop manual?
  3. Aftermath of all this good moodedness!:
  4. C'mon show us the pictures!!! Dave
  5. Money well spent then.
  6. Check out my average per day! Don't think I should be proud of it! Problem is the computer sits on my desk and I just have to check when ever I'm there! Dave
  7. I'd like to explore the USA and Canada a bit. My missus studied horse whispering and wild horses over there and is looking at going back to do shoeless hoof management. I'd like to check out the surf. I find that people's general (and often but not always true) opinions of yanks makes you forget how amazing the country is. Plus the yanks are the best hosts I've ever known, completely accomodating in their over the top way. What are the Canadians like to the British?
  8. Funny you should make that remark as the board and bag actually came back with a stuffed otter in it that was spoils from a particuarly wretched night out. We all went into a pub and it had stuffed animals all over the walls. We managed to get nearly every one of them! It's still at 42commando in Plymouth on display with various other 'spoils of war'!
  9. ha, talking to yourself then! It's too addictive this, the hours fly by. I'll be lost when I'm back living with the missus
  10. That'll be a cheap drive then!! I'm considering a similar one to Glasgow and then up into highlands for a cruise.
  11. I thinks thats actually not true. High velocity are more likely to pass straight through whereas low velocity are more likely to 'wobble' so to speak and go pinging round the body. Not that its going to help a head with pavement behind but it has been known. Heard about someone who had one pass through his head, and survived! I spend more time braking computers than people by the way!
  12. lmfao! Thought it was real too! Can't believe you shattered my illusions rich! Dave
  13. Try this link, loads of good vids, think it was posted the other day? http://www.tremek.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13&page=1&sort=lastpost&order=&pp=25&daysprune=-1

  15. Below is a quote from UJCC (Ultimate jap car club forum). This happened before I joined but looks to be a very good meet that barrie (rip) would have loved. I will be doing all I can to get there, it would be nice if some others here go to. Dave ____________________________ As many of you know, earlier this year we lost a great friend and member of ours in a tragic car accident.... Barrie Harcombe aka Bazdaman on the forums. I won't go into great detail about this again, if you wish to know more then view this thread.... http://ultimatejapcars.co.uk/forum//index.php?showtopic=8086 As a mark of respect for Barrie we are going to hold a MASSIVE meet for him as we know he would have loved it. We want this to be the BIGGEST meet UJCC have EVER organised!! Over the last few weeks your staff, reps and admin have been busy planning, scouting locations and discussing this meet and after a few phone calls and sorting out we've finalised a date and location!! The date will be Saturday the 13th of August starting at 1pm and will be held at The Boat House Pub near Saltford. (Not far from Keynsham in Bristol) The pub has been contacted and they are keen to have us. The pub has ample parking due to a Park and Ride area next door and is situated right alongside the River Avon, so the scenery is great too! If we could get as many people as possible to this meet it would be great, I'll be travelling over 250 miles to attend so you have no excuses! Also please note that we're not holding this to the UJCC only so please post it around on other forums.

  17. I used to drive a transit between Hereford and Dorset all the time, full of kit on the way back. Nightmare journeys wish I could've done it in my Zed. Would have had a great time. Dave
  18. Any spare rooms in Canada? lol wouldn't mind a holiday where I can dust off my snowboard. It hasnt come out of the bag since I got it in Norway 4yrs ago!
  19. Yeah fair one mate. I do quite a lot of travelling now, its amazing how small the world has become. I'd like us to do an extended tour of all the places we like the sound of. Not travelling and roughing as I've done enough of that, just going somewhere and working for six months then moving on when we feel like it until we found where we want to stay. Only problem now is we are both animals lovers and already have a horse (with another possibly on its way for me ,my missus does natural horsemanship/management). Then there's dogs, cats, chickens, ducks,.......the list goes on LOL all possible as we'd like to be self sufficient and grow our own food (don't eat dogs and cats by the way). None of it helps with travel, at least I don't have a mortgage. We'll have to see when I get out of the forces I guess. Will be nice to just chill in one place for a few years ,till my feet get itchy again! Dave
