We often talk about New Zealand or Australia. Mainly because of the overcrowding and prices here. Surfs good, plenty of room to keep horses, reasonable house prices and beautiful scenery. The only thing that would keep me here is the fact that the UK is such a hub for everything that is going on in the world (for good or bad I guess), and the family are here to. Dave

Might as well uprate the internals if you are getting it rebuilt. Ideal opportunity to add in the extra strength and reliability. Maybe consider removing air-con, cruise control, and all the other extra stuff that causes problems? Mine has had all this done and runs so much better than the old one. I think Zed pistons are forged anyway although might be wrong? If you get the rebuild then make sure the garage does actually get the full engine set or at least replace all the seals and the like, as its quite pricey and I've seen garages that have done a rebuild and only bought the essential bits like head gaskets so they can save money and make more. People like The Zen Garage and Z tech on here are well worth talking to for advice and quotes. Dave

Thats cause your Zeds black! my old one took ages to clean like that. Had to make sure I'd got all the shampoo off and dried it thoroughly. Took feeckin ages.

I don't in any way want to appear to condone excessiveness, just want to give an informed opinion from a Royal Marine. The police man involved didn't have the luxury of taking chances. If a policeman/security forces professional is forced to shoot (and I'm sure they had good reason to do so) then 5 shots is not excessive. It's an unfortunate fact that the situation required that action, one bullet would probably neutralise the threat, but you dont mess around when the person could be about to shoot back or (and a very real threat) set off a belt of explosive to kill all people in the area. Sorry Chris, getting tetchy as I need to get it finished for castle combe on the 15th. Can't book it back into the garage until I know I've got everything. They fitted me in especially the last time but then could only do half a job cause of wrong bits. Got the oil adapter from richard by the way (Thanks Rich!). Can anything be done with the old ac one? I've got a small box of bits that I don't need, might stick them on my missus wreck of a Honda Ballarde LOL. Yeah...Honda Ballarde after market boost gauge, no turbo but it looks good. Oil pressure, yeah no probs stick this ac one on a home drilled hole in sump ( or one greated by hitting a rock) and bobs your uncle! While I'm at it I'll stick the Zeds stock rims on there. Not sure if the ZR tyres will cope with the Ballardes extreme speeds though. Sh*t I need to go to bed! Only had 3hrs sleep last night. Dave
