First track day!
Thanks Stella! Well chuffed! Jaffa I booked a number of 20 min sessions so that I could bring it in, in between just to make sure nothing was wrong. Had some rubbing on my back tyre but otherwise all good. Jimmy! thats no time at all!

First track day!
I think next time i'll be doing an academy day with Motor Sports events. They set up courses that make the car break traction so that you can find where the limit is and get used to it. That would be the most useful thing I can think of next to be able to get used to it. I'll keep you posted if you fancy coming along. Jimmy when do you get back on the road?

First track day!
Hey all Well after almost a year and a half of being in and out of the garage I finally got it out on track for a shakedown. Brands today  Its running 410fwhp and 400ftlb torque according to the dyno. I'm guessing about 360 at the rear wheels. Was very tentative on the first couple of laps and took it very steady but slowly got used to the track and started to put my foot down. I have a long way to go before I get to understand where the break points are but i was really impressed. Grip was huge I dont think I got it out of shape at anytime except when I was a bit clunky with the steering. Going through surtees and into mclaren the car really did feel very planted and loading up around and into Clarke still did not unsettle it. I will push harder next time but I felt pretty comfortable today. On the straights it was very quick indeed coming past the paddock. The gears were ok but could be tighter (can I get the linkages changed do you think? to cure this). Temperature climbed to a steady 2/3rds on the gauge and happily came back to middle when I came back in. The suspension I think is a bit too soft at the back but seemed fine at the front. I will have to give the rear a few more clicks. Brakes were awesome although I think the ABS was kicking in as when I was standing on the brakes it felt like I had a warped disk but realised this was the ABS. All in all I am really impressed by the Zed. It was very very capable and I'm really looking forward to learning to drive it better as the limiting factor today was definately me. Cheers All :duffer:

Fuse size for heated seats?
Hey all Have thanks to slickpete acquired some S2 leather seats. My Zed is a Jap S1 so no harness for heated seats. Looking at them they need a switched live and earth. Happy to run some cables but can anyone give me an idea of what fuse size to put on the live? Cheers Ron

Who is doing what to their zed.
PTU relocation, Take off and re-grease the roll bars. Polish the hard pipes and try and tidy up the engine bay with some paint. Leather seats then start tidying the body. Track day on the 21st at Brands and hopefully get Ryan to have a look at it at Surrey RR in the new year.

Favour required from someone with an A'pexi AVCR.
Hey Si I had the same dilemma whne getting a boost controller etc and I opted for a black profec B and the matching turbo timer. The blue actually goes very well with the clock and so did not look out of place. I'll take some pics and post them up for you. As you know I've been trying to keep mine looking as standard as poss so have been trying to hide things like these. I know you have a twin din but the boost controller can be made to fit in the hole where the clock lives or as in your previous pic mounted under the ABS warning lights etc.
