Not Braking in a straight line
Thanks Jeff I'll have a look. They are the K sports 8 pot fronts. I bought them about a year and a half ago and have done about 2000 miles on them. I reckon its the front left caliper if its anything. I need to get the wheels swapped back so I'll have a look when I swap them over. Is it likely to be something fixed by something simple like bleeding?

Mesh Fitting
Hey mate When I did my old car I used a very small drill and very small cable ties. I drilled the holes in the rear bits of the bumper so you could not tell looking from the front. Also B&Q do rolls of plastic mesh for gutters that looks awesome, also its flexible so easy to fit in awkward places. HTH

Good question! I need to send them an updated version of the list of mods on the car. I'll have to add it to the list.

Not Braking in a straight line
Hey guys thanks for the replies. Stella, I had a look at the front end and apart from the slight misalignment from a previous accident all is good. I'll get the brakes bled and see if it makes a difference. Jeff is it likely that new calipers (over a year old but only done 2000 miles) are sticking? I'm planning on bringing the car up to you when it needs servicing perhaps a couple of months time, so I might have to save this one for you! Jimmy Ive had the alignment done twice in 2000 miles although that doesnt mean a thing. Ill have a look to see if there is anything worn etc.

Bigger Brakes and ABS
Hey mate I took it out this evening and had a couple of strange pedal feel moments where it really didnt feel like it was braking as it should be. So I pulled the ABS fuse and tried the car out with the ABS fuse pulled and it worked fine and I had to stand on the pedal real hard before it locked up. The roads were slightly greasy and I was traveling at about 50 and slowing down and then speeding up again. I have to say that I felt more comfortable with the car locking up and sliding than I did with the ABS.

Not Braking in a straight line
Hey all I have been hacking up and down the A24 trying to set up the suspension and I have a really odd problem. When I brake and squeeze the pedal it starts to slow down and brakes in a straight line, I gradually increase the pressure and it brakes harder, then I hit a certain amount of pedal pressure and the car pulls very suddenly and slightly to the left then if I come off the pedal slightly it pulls back to the right. I can repeat this over and over. Now when I had the car rebuilt I had the front bushes replaced with poly bushes, I have adjustable tension rods etc etc. Can anyone guess what might be causing the problem. It feels like something is managing to hold on until a certain amount of pressure on the brakes and then is giving but then gives in the opposite direction exactly the same amount when I come off the pedal???? Cheers all

Squeek and steering!!
Check the front ARB took me 6 months to pin point it eventually did it by standing on the front of the car and jumping up and down with the wife trying to see where the squeek was coming from. Check your bushes full stop as the rubber ones get dry.

Bigger Brakes and ABS
Hey mate do you find you abs playing silly buggers at road speeds with your Ksports? I dont seem to have a problem on the road but really noticed it on the track so I will pull the fuse on track and leave it in on road. Sounds like I need to go and test on some gravel etc and see what happens.

Squeek and steering!!
Hi mate common squeeks at the front end are the bonnet, tighten up your catch and put some electrical tape around the bracket to make it a bit thicker and stay more securely in the catch. Also check your front ARB they often get dry at the bushes and a good squirt of wd or silicone grease can do the trick.
