  1. Hi mate Its got Metal clips along its length that hold it under the foam. I used a flat blade screw driver and gently tried to pop bits out. Start from the middle there are two pieces left and right. I can email you the page from the workshop manual if you like.
  2. Thanks matey The guy I bought the car off told me it had hybrid Stage 1 turbos Any idea what the difference is between these and standard?
  3. Didnt get the cats wit the car just came as it is Any ideas on costs? is it full on bend over type stuff? Is it cheaper to get some second hand turbos? Can you get them off without the engine coming out? from underneath maybe?

  5. Hey all Got my car back today suspension, brakes, steering and various other bits all fixed. Drives so much better and goes like a train. But Its very smoky. Driving along its fine low revs fine give but it some welly and cloud of smoke out of the back whitish grey. Pull up at lights and for a few seconds its smoky enough to get a bit through the drivers window and then fine until you really hoof it again. If I have it on the drive and rev it it will get to the top of the revs and puff out some smoke looks whitish blue so Im guessing its oil. The worst seem to be on gear chnage so on and then off the gas and on hoofing it. The car has divorced wategates, decat, aem, 555, wiseco pistons. Cheers

  8. Hey mate wouldnt bother me too much as long as its not structural etc. The only problem will be when you come to sell itll put people off. If your gonna hang onto it then you get a wicked car for not a lot of cash. If you keep it long enough then itll end up being worth the same as all the others.

  10. Hi mate chased the alarm back and it only has two cuts one is the ignition and the other is the crank. Its only an imobiliser not an alarm as well. The fuel pump comes on and power to relays etc. Theres no switching to the injectors or the coils.
  11. Hi all Any one got any ideas? Turns over but doesnt fire up. AA came and took a look and said that there was no switching to the injectors or coils. Reckon its the ECU but mines got an AEM in it so theres no way of testing if its stuffed. Relays all working ok, immobiliser bypassed but still nothing. All I did was disconnect the battery and reconnect it??? F^&%^%CKING CAR!!! Not a happy bunny
  12. Hi mate Simpsons were the guys that zedworld recommended for servicing in south of england. They build tuned zeds. Good creds thats why I went there. Can anyone recommend good pads and disks please. Im gonna do those myself to try and get the cost down. Are EBC disks anygood?

  14. Hey guys Just got my car back from Simpsons, they reckon 1500 quid just to get it road worthy. And then more to get it up to scratch. They also reckon that the power quoted by the guy I bought it off is dreaming. I bought off this site cos I thought it would give me some kind of assurance but nope. Front leaking oil big style, front end crashed and bent and repaired to cover it up, hicas dripping fluid where the pipes have just been cut off, suspension stuffed and brakes stuffed. And thats just to get it road worthy, they havent had the engine open yet Im not holding my breath. Am gonna get it fixed I think and rescue the car but just thought Id put this up for everyone cos it might help someone else.
  15. Have 300km dash in a 90 G plate jap import. The boost gauge and the oil pressure are dead as is the odo and the trip. Any ideas? The boost reads -7 when off and 0 when engine on but nothing else. Greddy boost gauge works fine and car goes like stink so turbos def working. Is this because the ECU has been relaced with an AEM or just cos the dash is stuffed?
  16. Thanks mate really appreciate that No it wasnt crash damaged bought off Skey on this site. Awesome engine work but the body and interior are pretty untidy. If it was bent I think Id still be quids in by just buying a dead one and swapping engine etc. Thanks again mate. Ill run it in and get it sorted slowly is my new project.
  17. :bow: Hi all is the spar that goes across the fronT of the engine bay (has the vin badge, radiator attached etc) part of the chassis? Im hoping not cos I think mines bent only bought the car yesterday The cover for the air intake has had a new hole drilled for it about a cm lower than the original on the right hand side. Once on it all looks very straight. I know its been in a bash otherwise it wouldnt be like that but is this chassis damage? Bit gutted so any advice greatly appreciated

I have owned tivs porkers and for a while an S2000 but never a twin turbo charged beast in a suit!! Looking forward to getting it in the garage!
