  1. Have you got a series one ptu? might be worth checking the cables etc?
  2. Hey mate Air leak? Also have you tried cleaning all your connectors? Make sure your coil packs are working well as they can with age break down. Sounds like an air leak somewhere spray some aerosol around the engine and see if you have some going the wrong way.
  3. Hey NZ niggles! Thanks for the reply Hows summer! its freezing over here!
  4. Cool will have a hunt in the morning
  5. Hi mate I have a jap one with jasma written on the side and its pretty good noise wise
  6. Thanks Jimmy i'll have a good look over chimbo and see what I can get rid of.
  7. Thanks all Thats as much as I'd guessed! I dont want to sacrifice comfort so AC and seats are staying as its a track / euro hooning car that I want. Boot weight and spare wheel can go. Im more concerned about weight up front as I think the back is pretty stripped already. Thanks for all your help guys Pete - a slciktop is a great idea I'm sold! I'm not sure the wife would see it the same way though! :-)
  8. I have done all the usual removals AIV, EGR, Black canister, Cruise, (ECU is still in the car though, any idea where it is I'll get rid of it), flywheel, suspension, wheels. AC is still in as is interior and standard seats. Is there anything else I can look at getting rid of? Targas? Bonnet? go carbon? plastic wings? rear hatch - can you get a plastic or carbon for a 2+2 spare wheel and tools? Cheers
  9. Arch rolling time :-)
  10. I may need to get the ride height at the back raised a little. I'd be happy with this as I think its set a bit low. Or just get some wheels /tyres tha fit and get my arches rolled!!!
  11. Hey mate See below from my manual of suspension tuning: Rebound damping controls how the car reacts to dips in the road and how quickly transitional role is generated on entering a turn, note this is not the total amount of roll just how quickly the car reaches this roll limit. Firm up the rebound damping all round until the level of body roll is minimised. Rebound damping doesn’t affect the total amount of body roll merely how that roll is achieved, roll itself is more directly controlled by spring rates and anti-roll bars. http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/content/site/images/suspension/suspensionsetup.pdf
  12. Hey mate Buy some rainex until its fixed. Works a treat. HTH
  13. I think it was due to the one rear being set up as soft as possible. Ive corrected it and will give it a blast. Fronts were fine
  14. Hey Paul Got the PAS pot lid... Your a star mate thanks!
  15. Hey Jimmy I noticed that there was an open pit lane day on the 13th of february at Brands!
  16. Sounds like you need to have a good look matey but could be staring at a bargain!
  17. Hey Jimmy Ksports coil overs 8 front 6 back all poly bushes all after market rose jointed parts where possible Stillen ARB's standard lower arms Geometry set up by garage Had a look at my coilovers and one of the rears had been set softer than the other! must have been an oversight last time I ran it into the garage would make sense as it was only rubbing on one side. I'll take it out this weekend for a blast and see if I get the same problems.
  18. Hey guys Cant recommend a racelogic unit enough! Christmas present?
  19. Jist in case anyone wanted to know I ran 32 front and 34 rear
  20. Hey Stevie Ive got 265 falken rears and 245 pzero up front. The wheels are a 35 offset and up front I have 3mm spacers to clear the brake calipers. I think the rubbing was due to the rear dampers being set too soft and therefore bit too much roll. Ive clicked them up and I'll get my arches rolled in the new year as I cant be a%^ed with spacers and changing tyres etc. I should have said its my first track day in the zed not ever! lol
  21. Agree, I went for the K sports set up which are the same spring rates and single adjustment. I wish I had gone for the EDFC now as it would be so much easier to adjust the rears. Hey Ho. You live and learn. Although the adjuster is more weight and another thing to go wrong. If your not going to track the car I wouldnt bother but if you are the electronic adjustment is awesome!
  22. Ive got a short shifter and copper shifter bushed already. Anything else?
