Lewis Hamilton MBE
I agree that he does seem to be somewhat inappropriate choice. I agree he is a very talented young sportsman but it feels somehow to have de-valued such an honour to recieve it for winning an F1 championship?? surely thats what the cup and the millions and millions of pounds of salary is for. Perhaps if like Chris Hoy he had won 3 F1 Championships it would feel better. For me he would be more worthy of the award if he actually contributed something in the UK to benefit others less fortunate than himself and perhaps pay for a couple of medals for our service men and women?? rather than being a non-dom in Monaco or Switzerland.

nope I took out the Nissan heaters and replaced them with an aftermarket kit. No timer unit and they are virtually identical in construction to the Nissan units. My understanding is that the Nissan units have a thermostat built into the seat pads. I believe the original S2 kits had a timer also. The kit I bought was the Waeco MS50 they seem to be the aftermarket kit to go for. Its pretty simple to replace the units I would say about an hour per seat. Wiring again about an hour.

Missfire
Hi mate I had this problem when I first got my car. I bought a new loom and replaced it over a weekend. didn't stop the engine lunching itself 100 miles later though!!! Anyhow, if your loom is looking a bit crust and brittle and your connectors are brittle etc and you can afford it the I would recommend a new loom. It will remove about 100 different options of what might be wrong next time you have a problem.

Christmas Leather project results
Hey all I had leather seats down as a Christmas project and have just finished. I thought I'd post up some pics. They are electric leather S2 seats which have been made of the good bits of a number of seats. I took all the covers off and salvaged all the best cushions, bolsters, motors, looms, bump stops, (by the way Ive got a box full of motors and clips and trims if anyone needs some) remedied any rust and generally gave everything some lube and a once over. I also fitted heating elements to the front seats. So I now have leather electric and heated on both sides (there goes 30BHP!!) I'm pretty chuffed with the results as its taken me nearly every evening for a week to strip the seats down, run the cables in the car and put everything back together. Anyhow heres some pics. Cheers! :duffer: p.s. I couldn't help adding a gratuitous engine shot. Sorry! :smw:
