Ha ha yeah we had an Estate Agent round earlier in the week and she's a self confessed petrol head. She asked if the car was included in the house. I offered to settle her bill if she sells the house by giving her the car !! She drives one of those funny little Nissan Figaro's - it's bright pink !!

I was reading through a couple of posts about tax, speed cameras and congestion charging etc and thought this might be interesting..... I recently converted my front garden into a new driveway - see pics. When the council bloke came round to check out my intentions before I had it done he assumed I would be getting rid of the existing driveway ! WTF I said ! That's how I get a car into my garage - why would I get rid of that ? "You're only allowed one driveway per household these days" was his reply ! Basically the local authority don't want us to be able to park off the road......wait for it.......because they are going to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone scheme round here !! £60 - 70 per car to park outside your own front door !!! I live in the middle of suburbia - there is NEVER any parking issue around here - there are no shops and no stations for people to go to near here and therefore the only people who park on this road are the people who live here or are visiting the same. He agreed to make an exception for me because I applied for permission the same week that the legislation came into effect - otherwise tough. "I don't make the rules" was all he could offer ! To**er !! So the only conclusion is that they don't want us driving ON the road AND they don't want us parking OFF it !! Rant over Mark

At the bottom of that page is a Z with a folding hard top - much like the Merc and Peugeot. Was that ever a factory option or has someone done some clever modification ? I would sell the wife AND the kids for one of them !!

I've just fitted Skyline brakes to my car. They go straight on too. Very noticeable improvement. I got mine from Abbey Motorsport as they are always upgrading the GTR's to AP or some other kit.

What a car !! What a colour !! (I am biased of course) Would it be rude to ask what you've spent to get it to that stage of preparation ? Mark

How do McLaren do it on the new SLR as the pipes exit just behind the front wheels I believe. I wouldn't have thought there was much room to put cats/silencers and still have them exit so soon after the wheels. Unique Autosports offer an exhaust that does this just as a thought - although they are in Australia. Mark

I'm not sure how much lower it is but I'll be at a meet next week to compare with a standard - assuming there's gonna be one there - so I'll take a couple of shots and post them up. I'm not sure how it works with the reg numbers but I suppose it could be that way.....unless it was first registered in the Guildford area (I think). I'm still buzzing after a really good fast-ish drive around Surrey and Hants. I swear there's NOTHING else on the road right now that even comes close to the rush I get from this car !! Hey Robert I'm currently trying to convert a set of rear lights to LED and clear lenses. I have about 100 clear (not coloured glass) per side thay are either red or amber when lit up. Let me know how you get on and I'll post up some pics when they are done.... Mark

When I was 17 I wrote off my Rover 3.5 ltr in a spectacular doghnuting crash off a roundabout - taking two other cars with me which were both parked some 100yds along the road. Completely lost it and spun for ages before coming to a rest. Worst part was that one of the parked cars had a couple necking in it. Actually the worst part was probably having to slap my girlfriend who was screaming and wouldn't let go of the dash and get out of the smoking car. I can't remember what the bill came to but it was probably about £2k old money :D

While stressing that I'm NOT a chubby chaser, there is a lot to be said for the larger girl........... Apparently they try harder.......if you know what I mean !!
