  1. Would that fact that my car was an auto but has been converted to manual have any bearing on my struggle to get it into diagnostic mode?
  2. Where can I acquire conzult?
  3. Have been trying to get the HICAS into diagnostic mode wtih zero success. Have watched a few youtube videos and it seems straight forward enough, but just can't get the Zed to do it. Is there any other way via software even to check the HICAS?
  4. I'm thinking HICAS now, was having a look online at the HICAS diagnostics, will give them a try if the rain ever goes bloody off lol.
  5. They are all still like new mate, look like they have just come out the factory. Was in at them with the bar but as I said solid.
  6. Going through the service history every bush on the car has been replaced, rack bushes changed August 2009 and 9000 miles ago, rack feels solid as well.l
  7. Yeah mate it's a TT. How would I go about checking the HICAS out? Thought I was going crazy at first!
  8. Had a very weird thing happen today. Driving home on a near straight road,my steering wheel points dead ahead and car tracks in a straight line. After about a mile I notice the steering wheel starting to go off centre, car still going straight, after about another half a mile the steering wheel had turned to the left by about two inches, yet the car was still going dead straight and not pulling to either side. I came to a roundabout, went round it onto another straight and steering had returned to normal but then the same thing happened and kept returning all the way home. I haven't got a ****ing clue what's going on, anyone else have a clue? I can only guess at something power steering related. Cheers, Daz.
  9. Can you give me a how to if it's so easy please mate?
  10. I live in a nice soft water area, it's algae like crap as others have described. Will try the boiling water and see how that goes.
  11. My front washer jets constantly clog up with crap. Have recently noticed though that the rear washer always works fine. Not sure on the setup of these but I assume they are fed from the same washer bottle so confused as to why the fronts clog yet the rear is fine? Cheers.
  12. Ever since I got my Zed the washer jets keep getting blocked due to stuff in the bottle. The fact I pretty much always use the car in dry weather only and thus don't use the wipers much can't help. Is there any easy way to clean out the bottle without stripping the car down to get to it? Cheers.
  13. Hi mate, thanks thats a generous offer. The Zed looks to be ok though, been hard work over last couple days but car looks nice and dry, today had it running for an hour with heaters blasting, and is as dry as can be. Just need to find some decent quality stuff for under the carpets.
  14. I'm up at Upperton, where the Longriggend Remand Unit used to be mate, was a disaster area here on Friday,4 houses flooded, wifes car almost fully submerged and the Zed took a fair drink as well. Wish I was still in Burnfoot!
  15. Well got the seats and the rest of the wet interior out today, got most the carpet out, underlay/ sound deadening material is stuffed so ripped all that out and binned. Dound 4 plug holes and removed the rubber stops and got the worst of the water out, wet vacced the rest. Forecast is good next few days so leaving it sitting with the doors open and targas off to dry out more. Could have been worse, looks like all I will need is a ton of patience and more underlay/ sound deadening material. The water was sitting about half and inch under the ECU and other bits, so very lucky in that regard.
  16. By some miracle all the electrics are fine, the water was just below the level of the relays, ecu, etc. To get the carpet out I take it it is just the seats I would have to front seats I would have to remove? Just need to get it all dried out and then a good valet, could have been worse if it was sitting where the Vectra used to sit!

  18. Had some terrible weather today, whilst I was at work the wifes Vectra is now a total loss as it got fully submerged. The Zed was garaged but took a fair bit of water as well, managed to get it started and it drives and runs fine, but has a few inches of water in it. Are there any drain holes I can open to get the worst of the water out before getting it cleaned up?
  19. Hi guys, Just looking through the history and the belt on my car was last changed as part of the major 60k service 5 years ago at Zedworld. Car had covered 58k then, sitting on 75k now. The handbook says the interval is 60k and nothing about or 7 years etc like you usually see. So when should the belt be changed? As I only do about 2-3k miles a year another 40k is a long way off lol. Cheers.
  20. Never grow up lol! Since hitting 30 i think I've started going backwards, even want a sub and amp again at some point lol.
  21. Thanks mate. Seen your reply, new Bailey valves going for £223 new with kitting kit though, so based on that will probably go for those.
  22. Same here mate, always prefer to use HKs, Greddy, Apexi, etc. But right now just so bloody skint! And have already stripped out the old valves and hoses in preparation for new ones, so just need to get something soon then get the Zed out of it's winter hibernation.
  23. Trying to get some dump/blow off valves. My first Zed had a set of HKS valves which sounded awesome. I'm looking at getting some baileys Dv 26 or possibly dv36, but not sure how they sound on a Zed? Had them on others turbo'd cars and sometimes they sounded sometimes, sometimes bad. Anyone running baileys valvesand can offer some input?
  24. I would dearly love a R33GTR.
