  1. Hi guys, Does anyone know if Oz still frequents the forums or still has his Zeds? Sold one to him a few years ago and just wondering how it's doing!! Cheers, Daz.
  2. You are looking for a bag of cold tar, before using it put it somewhere warm for 24 hours to make it more usable. Square of the holes first and dig them deeper, once you fill the hole in, you will want to seal the edges otherwise water will get down the edges during the winter, freeze underneath and wreck the repair.
  3. Strange thing I have noticed on the car since I purchased it. When I change up at above 4.5k rpm I can feel like a sort of vibration through the clutch pedal, only happens when you depress clutch and engine braking starts, once you engage another gear it instantly goes away. Also if you don't press the clutch and select another gear then the vibration can still be felt until it drops below 4.5k rpm. I've probably not described it very well, but it is a kind of strange issue, I'm wondering if it has something to do with the auto to manual conversion, as my previous manual TT Zed did not do this. Under normal driving and below 4.5k rpm there is nothing at all untoward. Any advice will be greatly received :)
  4. Hi lads, I got my hands on a used pair of the decat pipes/elbows that Japspeed do. My car was an auto originally, but is now a manual. Was trying to get some new gaskets before getting it fitted and was told this kit will not fit an auto. Does anyone know why it wouldn't fit an auto? And as my car is converted to a manual is it ok now? I wasn't sure if it was to do with the positioning of the gearbox or something else enitrely that stops these going onto an auto, but if anyone can offer any insight that would be great. Cheers, Daz.
  5. Have alwaus used waxoyl on my cars and never had any problems.
  6. It's a bit boring, they are both being ultra defensive.
  7. My old SWB with similar mods to my current LWB was definitely quicker. Both had similar mileages and both in great condition.
  8. Hi mate, aye long time no speak for sure, I got married almost 3 years ago, live up in Longriggend now, still down at my mums quite a bit in Burnfoot. Have seen that big beast of yours when driving by, have you ever owned anything with a small engine hehe?
  9. LOL cheers mate.
  10. Cheers lads. No plans really, I like the car the way it is, although the exhaust is a bit too quiet, decats should sort that I reckon, last Zed I had sounded lovely with decats. Few things on tomorrow mate or I would pop down to Irvine, family stuff, the gym and also a physio to repair my dodgy neck and back!
  11. Well after a few years without a Zed and pining for my last car ever since I sold it, I have bought another, Turbocraigys former Zed is now residing safely and cleanly in my garage :)
  12. Still wondering if the old car is still on the road. Black, '92/93 Fairlady SWB TT K841MSB. Sold to Oz down in London somewhere, he was well known on the site by some of the guys back then. Be great to here if the car is still going strong.
  13. Hi guys, sold my Zed at the start of the year and just wondering how it's doing, still miss the beast!
  14. Sounds like air leaking from somewhere, does the car's performance or boost pressure seem to have changed?
  15. Unlucky mate, let that be a lesson to all to take more care in bad conditions.
  16. It's a disaster in waiting if you stick cheap tyres on your car, madness.
  17. If you have knee or other leg joint problems then don't bother running, you'll just damage yourself further. Some cycling or cross training will get you just as fit without the joint trauma. It's also not necessary to an hour a day, do shorter more intense sessions and you'll get fitter much quicker.
  18. Just buy a well looked after exapmly like mine which is for sale and you'll be fine!
  19. As the topic says, people just don't want these cars, I'm getting that sick trying to sell it I'm thinking of stripping it and putting it back to standard then trying to sell it that way, but that's a worse case scenario.
  20. Most likely the reverse light switch has worn out mate.
