I would burn my Zed if it couldn't beat a Clio Williams. I've owned a Williams before that was tuned and there is no way it would pull away from a Zed, it's a quick little car but not in our class.

Renault own some of Nissan so techincally the engine is part Renault no matter who designed/built it.

How easy is it to remove the speedo head and access the area needing soldered? My speedo cuts out randomly, causes the power steering to cutout as well.

I think that's the cat overheat light your referring to. Car will be overfueling and causing the cats to fry, could be O2 sensors or some other kind of problem. Best to get it checked out, I'd also say you may have a coolant leak from the steam from under bonnet, defo get that checked out as if you fry the heads on the car you'll pay a fortune to fix it.

Its like any other turbo car mate, it its been looked after youll be fine, but if its a high miler thats been ragged then steer clear. I have owned many Renault turbos and havent had many problems at all.

How can a seller be blamed if say an engine blew a week after they sold a car in a private sale? A totally random part failure or such, this is a very big grey area and it's not as simple as just turning up at court and winning...you would have a massive fight on your hands.

Electronic boost controller all the way mate, apart from being safer and allowing you to run an exact boost level you can also change it by the twist of a dial whenever you want.

It might spike a little over 1 bar in first or second as the boost rises so fast but I wouldn't expect that in other gears although in hot weather you won't run a true 1 bar so your avcr might be giving good readings. Also in high gears if you are on standard turbo's I wouldn't expect it to hold 1 bar all the way to the redline.

Those T25's will be dying soon enough if it's running a true 410bhp.

You will struggle to get anyone to insure it third party mate, but at your age I wouldn't think the insurance would be to heavy anyway.

It won't do any harm to try mate but you can't say for sure that it will resolve the problem, hopefully it will though. Your gearbox may be not far from needing some work.

I also don't know why it;s so bad for a modern car like a Zed to be seen as running very hot at 95 degrees, most cars the scale is from 90-120 with the car usually running somewhere in the middle highly safely.
