  1. It would definitely make it easier for guys like me that have a little bit of knowlege but not that much clearly lol. I just assumed the valve would go in without any extra items, didn't need much extra just the clips/clamps for the hose, the silicone hose itself and some joiners/t pieces. Had a little drive in the car today, the aftermarket boost gauge still needs plumbed in, so can't adjust boost yet, but can already see that the boost comes on so much faster just with this small valve attached, can't wait to get the car running a proper bar of boost.
  2. Thanks mate, that shows the boost sensor that I require perfectly.
  3. I'm trying to connect up this valve, still lol! Up in the top left hand corner of the engine bay, there is a little black rectangular box with a single vac hose coming from the bottom of it, I think this is the one Noz mentioned where I attach the MBC to? There is also another little box further down underneath in the same area with two vac hoses coming out the side and also a hose underneath from it, just again want to make sure I am connecting it to the correct thing. Also where exactly do I connect a boost gauge to? Cheers.
  4. I don't have any hoses/clips/t pieces yet but started the wee job today. Removed the wee hoses that attach to the metal intercooler hoses and cut off the boost jets, then re-routed the hoses upto the bulkhead, so will need much less hose than I thought as I will keep the hoses as short as possible as suggested by Noz. Just need the other bits to arrive then I can install the MBC, will also install the boost gauge at the same time, does this attach to the same hose I will be putting the MBC onto can anyone tell me?
  5. Thanks for the help guys. I've ordered some hose, clips, etc so once they are here will get them sorted. Also have a boost gauge to install as well, then it will be ready to set the boost correctly, then get a remap once I get some more cash :)
  6. Ok that's good. What happens with the place that they previously connected to, do I blank them off? And still need a method to remove the boost jets?
  7. Would you happen to have any pics handy mate, I'm not sure where the stock boost gauge attaches at the balance bar?
  8. Dan are those hoses which you removed from the intercooler piping the same ones that house the boost jets? Please excuse me it that sounds a silly question, but want to be 100% sure, there are so many hoses in the Zed engine bay.
  9. It had boost jets installed at Zed world a few years ago, it is these I want to remove?
  10. But attach the valve to which hoses? And another wee thing, how in the hell do you get the boost jets out of the small hoses they are in, just spent half an hour trying to move them, but no joy!
  11. Hi lads, Purchased a lovely little manual boost control valve from Noz. Where is the best place to install it on a Zed?
  12. That'll do mate. How do you want the funds?
  13. Also is it 52 or 60mm holes mate?
  14. What condition is it in mate? - - - Updated - - - As for boost gauges, can anyone tell me who sells some decent ones that are not too pricey? Thanks. - - - Updated - - - Thanks mate, but can't see me ever needing 3 gauges.
  15. Hi guys, Tryin to source a decent a pillar pod and a boost gauge. Only stuff I can find is from the USA and shipping is horrendous, also trying to find a boost gauge that looks ok and lights up nice is also a problem. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent supplier? Cheers.
  16. I hope the Mods nip this in the bud. I have not seen anything from the seller but going on what silverline says he has been shafted and from a poor get out clause. Vacuum hose will not break a boost controller and costs pennies, so if a Mod was using this as a reason not to refund, then that is poor.
  17. The boost figures I'm quoting are from the dyno run sheet, the in car boost gauge is reasonably accurate though as it sits before 14 at where I would put a 12. I have a spare accurate boost gauge I used before when tuning an old Renault 21 Turbo though. Will look into getting a boost leak tester just to be sure there is no issues there.
  18. He thought the car was running standard boost, and expected the car to make around 350 based on other Zeds he had seen. But he also said there did not seem to be anything wrong with the car. - - - Updated - - - Haven't checked for boost leak tests mate, how would I go about that on a Zed?
  19. Also are other people thinking the same as me? Torque decent but power not so good?
  20. It's defo flywheel horsepower. The car drives fine and feel quick enough, but just going on many other cars with similar mods, I seem to be down on the power front. When I changed the plugs last year I did a compression test, all 6 where between 162 and 167, I'm told a perfect engine is 175, so going on that I'd say the block is ok. I know it isn't running a bar boost like the boost jets should be going, more around 12psi, but was still hoping for more than 317bhp.
  21. I've attched copies of printouts. Car is a 93 Import Twin Turbo. Has boost jets, zedworld chip, japspeed decats and kakimoto backboxes, apexi filter, arc side mount intercoolers and running colder plugs. Boost jets are supposed to be giving a bar, but on the graph it's making around 0.83 or so. Torque figure seems ok to me, but power seems low?
  22. I've got the Bosch S4, good battery, has all the power the Zed needs.
  23. I used Jeffs excellent handbrake adjustment guide and have got the shoes sorted and working great. The actual handbrake lever still has a bit of slack at the first 2 clicks though and I need to adjust the actual handbrake lever. How do I actually get in there to adjust it? Had a go but stopped before I snapped bits lol. Cheers.
