  1. Only slight issue is I supplied them with the pump, they did the labour, so I could see me getting hit with more charges? Plus they are 20 odd miles away, so would take about a day to get there at present stop/starting lol.
  2. You'd have to ask him lol, he checked the pump was getting power, that the relay was working etc, checked some other stuff, then said pump failure. - - - Updated - - - I'm not sure what Zed guys are near me, will need to try and find out.
  3. You can see it wobbling about when you move the wheel mate. Today hasn't been good, car cut out 3 times on the way home, just like there is no fuel. Just had a new fuel pump and injectors as well, hooked up to Datascan and the fuel pump relay is working ok, checked with a voltmeter and the pump is defo getting power. After the car sits for half an hour it will drive again for a couple miles then the revs just die and it cuts out again. Any idea mate? Had the AA out and he reckoned fuel pump was the culprit, it has a series 2 PTU as I mind the Series 1's used to cause issues. I'm not the best mechanic in the world though lol so I'm not sure what to check.
  4. Car had an MOT today, as usual the guy was amazed at the cars condition, well except for this:- The part circled in red is worn, so need to order a replacement. What part is it?
  5. can't send you a Pm mate?
  6. Is it worth trying to get this do you reckon guys? With the cars becoming rarer and good examples getting more expensive, if anything happens to my car I want to make sure I'm getting properly compensated. Has anyone else got an agreed value? Or do you just not bother/care? Cheers lads.
  7. Honda or Toyota for reliability which is what you want when doing loads of miles.
  8. Wheel balance, brakes, something worn/loose. Bit of investigation needed mate :)
  9. Unfortunately I wasn't present mate, car was dropped off before I went on holiday, just picked it up today again. They are very busy, I would say they won't have spent as much time as a pure mapper like yourself, I think it's just been a case of get it running ok with the 555 injectors and jobs a goodun.
  10. The torque is nice, and it does feel quicker, even though it was wet on the trip home. One thing at least it isn't going to run lean lol. What sort of AFR reading is optimal on boost? I don't know when Noel, wether it be this year or next, but I will have to let you work some magic on the car at some point. Maybe setup a Scottish Zed Mapping week lol.
  11. The upgrades were there as I was expecting the car would make more power/etc so would need extra fuel. Plus with the Nistune I thought they would be able to make use of the extra fuel, but it leaves things open for future improvements. Noz, I also think the extra power/torque is simply a by product of the extra boost. The garage seem to think thats decent and reckon it needs more work to get more power, but I think they can't be as good at mapping Zeds as they are other cars. It really needs a trip to Mr Noz, to unleash the true potential, if I spend another penny the wife will kill me though lol.
  12. Car back on the rolling road today. Changes since last time 555 injectors, new fuel pump, nistune installed and car then mapped. What do you reckon guys? Feels much more responsive.
  13. The o2 sensors don't appear to be working? Shouldn't they fluctuate at idle?
  14. I have as much time as needed mate :) Do you have a more exact location for these two prongs?
  15. Tell me more please!? - - - Updated - - - Where is better?
  16. Had my boost gauge plumbed in for a while but the sparky keeps letting me down. So In thought may as well hae a go at wiring up the gauge for illumination myself, can't be that hard LOL. I've been told to open the cruise control pod and attach the wires then, but I'm not sure where to, can anyway that has a 1993 Jap TT tell me which wires to use? I have attached a pic of the area I'm planning to use, just need to figure out which plug then which wires. Cheers.
  17. Will have a look tomorrow guys, had a hectic week and not even had a chance to drive the car, weather was rubbish anyway lol.
  18. Since bringing the Zed out of winter hibernation the temp gauge has been playing up. From cold it has a strange issue where as soon you accelerate the gauge goes down, almost exactly does the opposite of the turbo gauge vacuum, soon as that starts giving positive boost the temp gauge goes down then returns back up as soon as you take your foot off the gas. Once warm no issues. What's should I check?
  19. I've only ever had good results with engine flushes. The performance garages I deal with use them as well. But each to their own.
  20. Wow, nice to see the doom sayers are out and about! Injectors have been tested here, working perfect, was sure they would be fine as the feedback over 6 years from the seller has been bang on. All parts now ordered, so hopefully be sorted soon once they arrive.
  21. For info the injectors were sold to me as this:- This listing is for a set of 6 genuine Jecs 555cc Side feed injectors - 300ZX TT Z32 - Ideal upgrade for standard Nissan side feed injectors - GENUINE JECS (JAPAN) Part - Direct fitment to factory fuel rail - 555cc flow rate - Spray and leak tested - Flow matched 6 piece set - 12 Month Warranty- PROFESSIONALLY re-manufactured - All seals and filters replaced
  22. Car went into the garage today but as usual nothing goes to plan lol. Already got Nistune installed previously so today should have been the aem upgrade fuel pump and yellow 555 injectors. But, everywhere I try doesn't have a new upper intake/plenum gasket part number A4033-30P22, going to try MJP tomorrow as my last hope, was closed today by the time I called. The injectors need some kind of different connectors I believe, the guy mentioned some kind of Denso bottom feeder thing but I really don't have a clue lol, they are trying to source them, but can anyone here offer help?
  23. Welcome mate. I'm a couple of miles from Slamannan, just over where Longriggend Remand Unit used to be, not far at all, nice to see a Zedder close by as most are 100s of miles away :0
