  1. And yet... Your own front plate wears similar spacing, Joel ;) :tt2: Ted's rear plate, though: definitely asking for trouble with that one!
  2. Brand spanking new lights are worth it though :) I got a set earlier this year and they make a huge difference!
  3. He's that shady...??!!  I think I've read a few bits on here about him (from before my time) regarding some For Sale threads that went bad.... :(
  4. A bump after 12 hours...?? Really? You've already answered your own question: you can get them cheaper off eBay. But you don't trust the quality of them. So you're snookering yourself a little bit...
  5. Pffft, worever! :gunsmilie:
  6. I'll be honest here; I can't say I've noticed any difference in the handling now I've removed the strut brace. It looked good but it just covered too much of the engine for my liking, so off it came :) All that said, I know mine wasn't a "reputable" brace like Joel's so perhaps mine was purely for ornamental purposes :thumbup1:
  7. Lee Dent needs to get some decals made up which use his actual logo. That said, so do i...
  8. Pebkau went to have a look at it a few months ago and it was pretty hanging, by all accounts. He had a good giggle and then walked away swiftly! Not to mention the fact that the seller hasn't got the first idea about the car. And apparently the receipts don't exist to back up the claims of £15k spent either...
  9. For how long that car's been for sale, you'd think his friend would've got over the death in the family and be able to sell it for himself now...!
  10. And here's the original pics JaiKai took for me before it got tarted up :) Linky!
  11. What the hell are they meant to be, Tom??
  12. Not sure about a painting of my Zed, but I'd love a painting of my dearly-missed pooch :( : A better picture than that one though :)
  13. I feel offended by that emoji, sir! :ban:  You want me to bring my handbrake handle...? :confused1:
  14. It'll certainly be different, Ash! :thumbup1:
  15. Looking forward to seeing this progress! :thumbup1:
  16. Happy Mondo is happy this morning! As you might remember, I hunted for ages to try and find a pair of rear SWB spats. After a couple of false starts, I managed to come across a pair on eBay so I snapped them up. One of them, sadly, was carrying a little bit of damage (2" split on the underside and damage to the top mounting hole) but I bought them anyway as they come up for sale so infrequently and I just had to have the proper ones for my Shortie. The damage was repaired and then I had them prepped and sprayed when the full respray was done and that was that. You couldn't really see the issues but I knew they were there. And it always niggled me... :( So imagine my delight when these bad boys landed about 15 minutes ago: Proper OEM Shortie spats in absolutely superb condition! Not a mark or a crack or a split anywhere. :) It seems Facebook has it's uses after all as that's where I found them for sale. So now I need to get them prepped, painted and lacquered, then fitted. And then decide whether to keep the other pair as spares or sell them to another Shortie owner so they can have the right stuff on the back of their car :thumbup1: Happy Wednesday!
  17. ^^^ That just looks sooo complicated!!
  18. I fear you missed the sarcasm in his post, mate!
  19. I'd be happy to stick mine in the NEC for a weekend of non-movement next year. As long as it wasn't outshone by that gorgeous piece of automotive art that Steve posted....
  20. Can of worms right here but is "racism" the right term to use...? Islam is a religion, not a race. There are plenty of converts to Islam who are white Europeans so, in the event of any kind of confrontation, could someone honestly be classed as "racist" if the object of that confrontation is of the same ethnic classification as them...? It's just an issue that's puzzled me for a long time, that's all.
  21. Haha! I did debate retaining the plate for my new one, but decided that it could go with the black one just to keep everything easy and straightforward :)
  22. Considering how much they state on their website that they can and will only make plates as per the V5, so no dodgy spacing of characters, it's surprising that quite a few of the plates on their montage have some very illegal spacing! Not to mention how awkwardly the entire website reads. To me, it reads like an eBay ad where the seller is truly desparate to sell something...
  23. This plate was one of the defining things about my old Zed, Lee - it's a shame to see it might be heading for pastures new :(
  24. If you care to read back, you'll see (and I quote here) that I wrote "Dan is correct where he's said that, by and large, comparatively few Muslims are standing up denouncing this barbarism which leads to the question "Secretly, do all Muslims think the same way...?" I accept that I could have phrased that last part better so it didn't come across as being my viewpoint so, for that alone, I apologise. I follow the news very closely nowadays and I see very little coverage of either UK or worldwide Muslim leaders standing up and doing what you yourself have just done. At no point did I say that none at all do it, nor did I say that I think that all Muslims think the same way that ISIS do! My entire post was generalising from the viewpoint of "the common man" as we see more and more posts on Facebook and the like from people demanding that the UK shut up shop now and also saying that all Muslims are to blame for this. This is not my point of view at all, because I'm a very intelligent individual and not one prone to knee-jerk reaction. You are, of course, completely wrong with your comment that "all Muslims are condemning this" because they're just not. Surely radicalised Muslims are still Muslims, and they're not condemning this at all! So I'm going to assume that what you meant to say was that "all true and clear-thinking Muslims are condemning this" So there we have it. Hopefully I've provided some context for you, Tazino? And hopefully you'll not be taking any more exception from my post :thumbup1:
