  1. And a cracking spread you put on at your place too, buddy! :D
  2. I had a notification from the forum reminding me that today was my birthday. Which was nice!
  3. No chance this weekend for me, I'm afraid - not only do I have a ton of work to do... it's also my birthday! :D
  4. LWB TT? That's me, Kev and Stevie at least :) Dunno if Bird's would be sorted in time or not...?
  5. Mine's coming off the road shortly so I could be up for one last hurrah :)
  6. Is Lord Lucan in your garage as well, Lee...??
  7. I do about 45 - 50 miles a day when I use the Zed and I find I'm usually putting £30 in every other day :( And that's driving it like a vicar most of the time!!
  8. I did mine in about an hour or so with the headlights and everything else in situ :)
  9. If you (or anyone else) needs any help on the tax side of this, give me a shout - I know a thing or two about that aspect of things... :whistling:
  10. I actually emailed him this morning to ask how long he'd owned it. Apparently, the reason he's selling it is that the import laws in "his country" have recently been changed so it's too expensive for him to take it "home" now.... :detective:
  11. Looks like the new owner fancies a bit of profit here........
  12. Top news, this! Guess I'd better get some seats sorted out for you soon, eh...??
  13. My condolences, mate. :( It's awful to lose a member of the family. :(
  14. This is why I've learned quickly that if I drive my Zed like a ****, it'll make me look like one! Glad to hear the driver escaped safely :)
  15. I'm a little concerned about how it happened, to be honest. I'm new to driving a twin-turbo'd RWD sports car but even I've learned (very quickly) how they should and shouldn't be driven! If the tail started wagging on a dual carriageway, I'd say it was either wet or greasy or it was a high-powered gear drop... Whatever the circumstances, still a desperate shame to see such a nice example of a dying breed end up in such a state. :(
  16. Wasn't this only sold quite recently...?? :( I'm sure it was for sale when I was looking to buy... sadly, it was out of my price range. Lovely looking car and a very sad end! :(
  17. I've got 275/30/19s on the back of mine on standard suspension and there's no rubbing at all. Couldn't tell you what the wheel offset is though...
  18. Dude, you've got no luck with bumpers! :( I'd have pushed him for his insurance details and, if he kept refusing, just called the cops there and then...
  19. I can sadly relate to this a lot, Nicci...!! :( Best of luck and I hope it's good news.
  20. Happy birthday, mateychops! :)
  21. Thanks, everyone. It looks like we'll have to take the hit on the difference between the payout and the remaining finance - just one of life's little curveballs, sadly :( The main thing, as far as I'm concerned, is that Fran got to walk away as a double impact like that (car on one side, lamppost on the other) could've potentially had horrendous consequences! So i'm grateful for the little things here :)
  22. Thanks guys. This happened on Wednesday morning so when I got the call about it, I hurtled back down the A1 (in the Zed. In the wet!) to get to the hospital. She's been feeling the after effects since then but, as has been said, it could've been a lot worse. Ironically, the lamppost prevented it from being horrific cos it stopped her from potentially rolling down a bank! As for the insurance... it seems they'll only cover the market value of the Swift, which is less than the remaining balance on the finance so it looks very much as if we'll be out of pocket and with nothing left to actually replace the car!!
  23. Mrs Mondo loves her Swift. The gormless bird coming down the bank on Wednesday morning, however, was clearly jealous... She didn't even attempt to brake for the junction and hit Fran on the passenger side, forcing her across the next lane and into a lamppost! No broken bones or bleeding, thank god... but a healthy dose of bruising and soft tissue / muscle damage. She was taken to hospital on a spinal board with a neck brace and restraining blocks, but the X-rays came back clear. The Swift's a gonner, obviously... and now we find that the insurance payout isn't likely to cover the remaining finance on it! :( It's been a bit of a crap few days here....
  24. As far as I'm aware, these were an option on Nissan Terranos and Ford Mavericks so should be easily picked up from either dealer :)
  25. You can buy these things brand new from Nissan and Ford, I believe....
