  1. ...would anyone in the Bristol area possibly be willing to collect some seats for me please, if need be? The catch is: I don't want them! I only want the front seat rails, so whoever collected them could scrap the rest or sell them on or whatever. Obviously, I'd pay the cost of the seats and the postage of the rails to me and some beer money for helping me out. Anyone fancy the task...?
  2. Have you got new panels, or have you just got the material to retrim your existing panels?
  3. I know who Howard Jones is, Si... I was more curious as to when he was a forum member...
  4. Er.... what now...??
  5. I see what you did there...
  6. One of my all-time heroes!!!
  7. Welcome back, Mikey! :thumbup1:
  8. My JDM front fogs include the sidelights too :) I believe all the JDM ones do.
  9. I could be up for this! :D
  10. Out of interest, where did you get the LED strips from? Or did you build them yourself?
  11. Faulty speed sensor is a possibility too. Jeff TT did a write-up where the end cap comes loose and disengages the speed signal occasionally, which in turn can mess the power steering up.
  12. I've got a pair of those fitted to mine...
  13. Bah! :( I fancied the idea of losing all the Hicas gubbins but keeping the TT's ratios. Oh well....
  14. I know that a few people have swapped their TT rear subframe and diff for an NA one... but is it possible to simply swap the diff assembly itself from a TT into an NA subframe...?
  15. Bloody hell, mate!! :( Glad you're ok...! That's it... I'm not moving mine off the drive until it's red hot outside!!
  16. Crappy news, all of this! :( Glad to hear you're unhurt though - that's the main thing. And hopefully the insurance will pay out too.
  17. Just to add onto this: anyone who's attempted retrimming their seats (not their panels) will be able to appreciate how ridiculously time-consuming it is! Panels aren't so bad, although the Zed's are a nightmare shape... it's the seats that take the time. I am a busy man but I'm taking bookings all the time. It all depends what people are after having done and how quickly, really.
  18. This is where booking people in helps me enormously :)
  19. Some of my best work right there... ;)
  20. Part of the reason I'll be doing this is cos there's a spoiler to go on (once I've tinkered with it a little - former bodyworker and all that :) ) and, obviously, I want the best possible finish and future protection for the tailgate. Whilst it'd be easier from a financial and space-wise point to use my existing bootlid, I'm more than prepared to get a rust-free one if that's just going to make better sense all round. :)
  21. I'd be getting the tailgate painted regardless so I may just see if I can source a rustfree one instead. Thanks, guys :)
  22. Is it a reasonable DIY job to remove and refit the rear windscreen? Or is it something better left to a professional? I have a patch of rust that I want to sort over the winter and it's unfortunately right on the edge of the rear screen. I'd rather take it out so I can make sure there's none lurking beneath the rubber. Any advice? Or would I be better off trying to source a rust-free bootlid...?
  23. Have you sorted the lights issue now, Kev...?
  24. Personally, I've always thought that the Zed could do with a wider back end so the blended arches look works for me. :) And the vented wings (without those awful vents along the top edge) is another plus. Yes, it's not OEM... but I do like it!
