  3. was recently speaking to someone who had a zed TT and ALSO a supra TT, he says that after driving both cars he didnt think there was any difference!? did say the supra was a bit more modern inside though. but as mentioned you are on the 300zx site so i would say get the zed
  4. if you think its fast running in safety mode then wait till you drive one at full power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as for the engine number im not too sure. hope you find yourself a decent zed (prob worth checking for sale section on this site). gaz
  5. whilst allowing a "zedinexperienced" garage to change a hose on my motor i found on the return of it my boost guage didnt work! (needle was all over the place) they had removed some of the hoses for the boost controller but put them back in the wrong place. ended up ringing jeff at zedworld who talked me through it in about 3mins! might be worth giving him a bell?

  8. Has any one retrimed the crappy tweed :hurl: on their zed with leather/vinyl? im wanting to do mine in red but just thought id see if any of you have tips or advice on the best way to go about it? cheers, gaz!
  9. this isnt a question that has been put on here but i thought you might find it funny.................. my mate for the past year keeps receiving phone calls from an old lady at the most ridiculous times ( 1 , 2 , 3 in the morning!), asking if she can leave her prescription order for some tablets. after about 12 months of trying to tell this nice old lady to get the right phone number (as he isnt a doctors surgery), my mate went out of his way to find the number himself so that when she should ring the next time he would be able to give her the correct number. sure enough right on cue (2.30am) she rang her "prescription" through!! "for the last time this isnt the doctors surgery, the number you need to be calling is.............please please please dont keep waking me up!" ten minutes later (2.40am) the phone rings again:......... (old lady says) "i just want to check that you have given me the right number?"!!!

  13. had an auto to manual conversion and was told the same thing..........again dont know if its true???
  14. had my water pipes removed/rerouted from plenum by jeff (zedworld, cost £90). got this done due to water pipes FOREVER BREAKING, so if they do go in the future they should be easy to replace..............well maybe not "easy" just more accessible ;) !
  15.
  16.   nice meeting you by the way at JAE....i was the one in the red zed parked next to you on the sunday (the one with the bored looking missus!! )
  17. http://www.holylemon.com/JugglinMagician.html ........hes a clever fella
  18. im sure luke at zcentre does these for about £250ish. could just change the lenses for about £40 though? ive done that and thimk they look fine (not as good as the proper thing but still acceptable)
  19. cost me about £1500 which also included a brand new rps clucth from smithy and also a short shift gearstick. would cost about the same for an auto!
  20. IIRC this was discussed not too long back. mine was an auto now changed to manual with the auto tubs. i have been told that as the auto tubs are smaller they spool up faster, which IMO is good. however the down side is they will run out of puff in higher revs before the manual tubs would. so in theory it should be that bit faster from the start line............. ..............but then i could be wrong???!!!
  21. got well cheesed off with my auto box!!!!!!! just had a rebuild weeks before i bought the car........that lasted about 3 thousand miles. got another one fitted..........lasted about 200 miles, back to garage who repaired it..........only 80 miles this time!!!!!!!!! gave up with the auto and got a manual conversion done by zedworld..............................and still going strong
  22. i did get some bulbs from halfrauds, but they were in the "boyracer" area with all the go faster stripes and padded seatbelt covers. i think they were from a range called "prism" IIRC. cost about a fiver.
  23. ive got norton antivirus, always using paypal and ebay, never had any probs logging onto theses sites. im not much of a computer boffin but any probs i have had have usually turned out to be something quite simple. i have heard of people running "copies" of windows programs who have had various problems, and then on buying a proper copy of windows all probs have gone away! (im not suggesting your using dodgy copies by the way mate ;) ) hope you get sorted!
  24. did bailey valves on mine a couple of months back. hardest part is removing everything else to give you enough working space. no need to take out lights or remove front end of car  just remove air filter/box, may also need to remove oil cooler ( wont need to disconnect it just move it out the way). the old valves are on the far left/right kind of below the lights. IIRC there are 3 hoses running to them. have fun mate! ;)
