  1. vibe are guna cost alot more than 99 squid though?
  2. anyone heard anything about the above brand name subs? (FLI) halfrauds are selling a 12inch boxed sub and amp for £99.00. (plus extra 35 for the fitting kit, wires etc). these are supposedly made by vibe, so the 17 yr old spotty halfrauds boy racer wannabe claims. ;)
  3. i got jbl 6x9 gto speakers in the door, but tbh dont think they sound that good? :(
  4. IS THIS FOR AN AUTO OR MANUAL, COS WHEN MY CAR WAS AN AUTO IT DEFFINATLY WASNT AS FAST 0-60 AS WHAT IT IS NOW THAT ITS A MANUAL?? ALTHOUGH I DO THINK AUTOS ARE QUICKER (SLIGHTLY :D ) WHEN OVERTAKING.
  5. if you can i would go for a manual, although others would say auto all the way. however after having an auto that kept breaking i got it converted to manual by jeff at zedworld, and it was deffo the best thing i done to date. also £4000 should get you a decent car. check out the for sales section on this forum, i think someone is selling there TT for £4250 that sounds a good one.
  6. i did hear that an mr2 turbo does do a quicker 1/4 mile than a 300 TT, but then try and get an mr2 to stay with you mid range power. anyway a zeds a WAY BETTER CAR :D
  7. welcome mate! swb is 2 seater and "normal 300" is 2+2. jap imports are called fairlady z. there are some other small differences. japs have square rear number plate as opposed to uk rectangular one. japs dont have fog lights in rear bumper, normally people will use one of the reverse lights for this (looks better IMO). uk spec do have wider rear wheels 245 opposed to jap 225 (i got uk wheels for rear of my jap). i would say both cars are as good as each other really. some insurers are fussy about imports, but on saying this by shopping around you can get good quotes. im 27, with 3 points, full ncb, slightly modded zed and i pay 367.00 full comp.......this is alot cheaper than what my v6 calibra was costing. hope this helps a bit, there are some guys on here with alot more knowledge than me though, so im sure they can point you in the right direction. one last thing, jap headlights are rubbish!!!!!!!!! you can see more with a candle! Gaz!
  8. got the vinyl from a local shop called Boyes. it cost £4.99 a meter. got 4 meters of it but you only need 3 TBH.
  9. yep, used the solvent type. find that when i pasted it on the panels if it was left for much longer than 30 secs or so then it would melt the glue that was used by nissan  there is that VERY SLIM chance im a muppet and didnt do it right though
  10. wish i could afford to do the seats now. looks a bit odd with the red VINYL and tweed seats. but as they say "all in good time" or "when i got some brass"!
  11. thought this pic is a bit better!
  12. just thought i would post up some pics of my attempt to retrim the interior. its not perfect, theres a couple of ripples etc, but for £20.00 plus some glue i think its a good cheap mod! biggest prob i had was with the evo stik glue. i used what was mentioned by others who had done this, but for some reason it melted/reacted with the original glue and thus gave me some hassle. but apart from that it went ok :D (pics are from my mobile so i apologise for the quality)
  13. if it comes to it your auto is knackered and you do fancy looking at the option of a manual conversion then if you want to you can let me know and i can point you to the people that helped sort me out. gaz!
  14. WHY DO THEY DO IT????????????????????????????????????? :hurl:
  15. had similar probs with mine.............£1500 later i ended getting an auto to manual conversion. it could possibly be something simple but alot do get probs with the autos im afraid. manual gears all the way IMO.
  16. same as earlier quote, you will prob need to trim the gear rubber surround to make it fit right. just out of interest, is it one of the ebay shifters? if it is then they are good value for money just for the looks alone! when my car was at zedworld (as he fitted it when i had a manwell conversion) jeff said you could easily pay the same just for the gearknob as i had for the full thing (got it for £30 :hyper: ).
  17. WAHOOOOOO!!! kinda know what im doing, as you can see i now have a picture of my new staffy set as my avatar........but thats cos i cant use the ones of my car! i will just keep trying.
  18. AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why the hell cant i get the damn things posted......(rant over  ) when i try to put on a pic it says its too big. so after help from pk1, which i appreciate by the way, i go to edit the pic etc so that the picture size is less than the 97.7kb that it can be, so i dont think thats the prob. i think its too big in the pixel region, as the forum says nowt bigger than 100x100 i think. if anyone is able to post an "idiots guide to posting pictures", guess who would be interested in seeing it.................ME, COS IM AN IDIOT WHEN IT COMES TO COMPUTERS!!!!!!!!! :slap: (rant over again!!). thanks in advance, gaz!
  19. 0121 246 5050. this is the number for "norton" who use heritage for the insurance. HTH. gaz.
  20. mines an import and i had no probs insuring it with heritage as such. in fact when i got the quote i rang them back and said it was an import etc cos i couldnt beleive how cheap the quote was!
  21. right i know thanks to pk1 that i need to go to the manage attachments part, im with it up till there. but then when i select a pic from my pc it says image is too large, so how do i make them not too large??? please bear with me i dont know how to use a computer :slap: :o
  22. 27 yrs old, 3 points, admitting to having ECU upgrade, fully comp £367.00   :nana2: :nana2:
  23. well after many hours ive managed to complete it. :D :nana2: so thanks for the advice given on the site! ;) it cost me £20.00 for 4 meters of red leatherette and about £15.00 for the glue (most of it ended up on me hands). i would put up some pics of what i done but i dont know how to??
