im gunna put my neck on the line, so to speak, and say that im sure there arent many of us on here with freedom of speech about speeding........we are driving 3ltr TT cars! some of us just havent been caught :nelson: however IMO i do feel there is a big difference from someone getting caught 5/10 mph over the limit as opposed to these muppets who think the local town centre is there personal race track (too many boy racers in scarboro)!! :rant: in these kind of situations i think the issue shouldnt be "how do i get out of this?", but rather "going to make sure i dont do it again". anna, im not guna tell you your a bad person or anything, im sure thats the last thing you want to hear. all i would say is that in my situation i have been caught speeding (maybe not as excessive as you ;) ), and its just made me more aware of the speed limits whilst driving, and determined not to do it again. it is very easy in all innocence to be "day dreaming" and not realise how fast your actually going! hard as it is, you will have to just take whatever is given and make sure it dont happen again. we learn from our mistakes.........im starting to sound like my dad!!! :o well said to the above.

take it that its not got mot etc then?? well the mileage is very good and with full history to back it up thats good too. thing is a respray can cost around a grand quite easily so that needs thinking about. if all mechanics are spot on then i would prob be happy paying a couple of grand + grand respray + mot, tax etc. so for under £4k you would have a very good looking zed with very low miles for a uk spec. (its an auto though, only bad bit!! ;) ) gaz.

i did direct access. did cbt first, then had a day on a 500 then another half day on it then me test. passed first time and couldnt beleive it! my first bike was a suzuki rf600 (got the 900 later). must say the rf was a very underated bike, and comes a bit cheaper than your gsxr and cbr 600. hope you do well with the lessons!

but as i NEVER do that kind of speed i obviously dont hear it anymore! ;)

fitted baileys to mine and got all the blanking plugs etc when i bought the kit. take it you not getting the fitting kit with it? standard recircs did need removing, not too hard to do just a bit awkward.........like every other job on a zed! :D

got a ecu and boost upgrade on mine which i have actually admitted to having fitted, car is also a jap import (which is for sale :D ), and my insurance is £367 fully comp :bow: :bow: :bow: insured with norton classic car insurance - 0121 246 6060

i had quotes for engines from £500-1000. suppose it depends how good your engine is (miles etc)? not sure about the turbos though. i would of thought it shouldnt be too hard breaking it as many members on here would possibly be interested in some bits. think it may be better to break the car and buy another...........im sure im selling a nice red zed??? ;) hope you get yourself sorted, oh and avoid those foxes!!! gaz!

i know they've had it for sale for a couple of weeks. you dont see many TT 300s on this year! as to how much its worth im not too sure.......what i do know is that im selling my 1990 h reg TT 300zx for less than half that price! ;) :D

spose it depends what kind of a job you would get done? i know someone who would respray my full car for £300, but then he's NEVER gunna get near it with a spray can!!! then ive had quotes for a full respray at over a grand. TBH if they are gunna do a good job i dont think 200 is that bad! plus im sure most charge more if its metallic paint.

ive had my zed up for sale for a bit now, and TBH im sick of people with a "low budget" ringing up and making pointless offers.............. ............ BUYER: "hello, i would like to buy your zed (sounds good so far), how much would you take? ME: "well its advertised for £4495ono, or may take p/ex" BUYER: "well ive had 2 of these, and the last one was 400bhp had 18inch alloys worth the same price as a castle, had full leather interior, was alot better than yours, and i got it from a garage for £2.5k, so i dont want to pay too much for yours as it is 15yrs old now!" ME: "if you can buy good zeds all modded up for that kind of money, then get as many as you can and sell them, cos you'll make a fortune!" BUYER: "thats all their worth now though mate" ME: (kinda cheesed off!) "sorry mate, im not giving it away!" i just dont see what joy people get out of by ringing up cars for sale, making the most dumb offers in the world, totally slagging off your motor telling you they are actually a crap car and you'll be lucky if you can give it away! you always seem to get them with any car your trying to sell, i know i have!!!??? :confused:
